Enjoy your drive

+1 Transformers
As of 5PM they only had one Transformers left in HD-DVD! Still had a pretty decent selection of both HD-DVD & Blu-ray. I actually bought four Blu-ray discs even though I don't own a Blu-ray player. However later this year (around Christmas) after they have finalized the specifications I plan on getting one to be format neutral.

These crazy BOGO sales for both sides, BOGO Blu-Ray on Amazon, Transformers for HD DVD, forget the sales ratio next week, it is probably going to be the highest volume week for HD DVD yet.
Transformers HD DVD is part of CC BOGO deal. Confirmed and verified.

Luckily, I was able to get deal at the Orange, CA and Huntington Beach stores.

Ask the clerk to call the manager. If the manager said no, Ask for corporate Cx service number.

ALL CC should honor the deal.

anyone been successful pm'ing at best buy after explaining all the specifics of the deal? like: unadvertised, must be 29.99 or under, and discount does not show until checkout. im sure someone at customer service could easily call to verify.

The deal did not work for me in Central Florida CC's. The lady scanned the movies for me to check. They did have signs up for the BD's though. Im jealous for those of you who were able to buy HD-DVD's BOGO.

Unless they're all credited to Blu-Ray!

Did not work at the Fredericksburg VA store. I tried to pick up transformers and knocked up. Clerk ran it to the total, and it was $62 and change. I inquired about the special and he said HD DVD was not on sale only special Blu-ray titles. It was worth a shot.

As mentioned the 2 keys to this deal are

1. All titles must be $29.99 or less .. nothing over unless you get lucky.

2. Let everything ring up and let them get to the end (ie just before you pay) and check the total. It should be about 1/2 of what the titles added up to be from their stickers. If not then say something otherwise just let it.

At my store the cashier simply had to ring them up and answer yes to the discount question on the screen. It immediately came up after ALL titles were scanned and they went to the payment screen. Before that NOTHING comes up about a discount.

Relax and be patient and it will work. There is no need to push it.

I for one am very happy with all the deals that have come up recently -- both HD-DVD and BR. I only wish this would happen again in mid-late November to capture some of those nice BR releases coming up. Oh well it matters not as this week has bankrupted me anyway.

Enjoy your movies!!

Greg

I am one those who got lucky, I have been waiting for the K of Heaven to go down atleast about 19.95 but with this deal I have the lady from CC pricematch fry's for 29.99 and ring it for 15.00 bucks.
Their price was 34.95,

as long as it is 29.95 (even if its combo) it will be a BOGO.

Bought Transformers @ Walmart for $32.59 after tax.

Hastings Video Store is offering "Buy One Get One Free" on all Blu-Ray. I will try with HD-DVD and see what happens.
They are also offering "Buy One Get One Free" on all used HD-DVD and BluRay.

-FREE HD DVD's-
I visited Gamestop (aka Babbages and EB Games) and took advantage of their "BOGO" on all used 1.99 DVD's they had. My total came to $12.53 (10% off) for fifteen used DVD titles then I returned to Hastings Video store and traded in all 15 for a giftcard valued @ $42.75!!!!!
Im going to use this with the buy one get one offer and get a few titles free!

FYE here in Lawton did not have a "BOGO" but did have most titles marked down for Blu Ray and only one for hd-dvd which was Batman Begins $15.69.
BD at that store were priced at 14.99- 19.99 for quite a few new titles.

The Circuit City (Cobb Parkway) here in Atlanta/Smyrna has a list of Blu-ray movies only under the promotion. However, the salesman on the floor said this offer applied to HD-DVD and Blu-ray. She said as long as the movie didn't exceed $34.99 I was good. I purchased Transformers and Evan Almighty (a $34.99) title for $30. It appears that some stores are operating by a different set of rules.

yes it is confirmed, CC in WA state allowed both format as long as it is 30.00 or less.

I got transformers for 15.00 bucks plus a promo hat with cool transformer logo. very nice only CC have this and it is given for the first 20 customers.

Glendale, CA confirmed. I got Transformers along with ~$300 of other stuff, no problems whatsoever. I also asked how frequently they restocked and they said typically Tuesdays and Thursdays. The manager also told me that if there are price reductions on Black Friday I could bring back my receipts and they would credit me back again (IE if the sale price of Transformers on Black Friday <$29.99 they will credit me back 50% of the difference). Awesome! Since this runs until Saturday I would advise people to check back with their local stores since they apparently restock every other day or so.

Lakeland, FL has the deal but not all the movies worked. I did get 8 movies including Transformers. Great deal!

Nielsen numbers are calculated by the item sold not the promotion..

HD DVDs have different UPCs than their Blu counterparts so the counts will be based on that.

Has anyone seen Return to house on haunted hill or The Reaping on HD DVD at Circuit City. I went and picked up 2 copies of Transformers and would love to pick up those other titles with this special. Ford City in Chicago has been confirmed. Bought 2 copies of Transformers.

Yes, but since CC isnt technically giving away movies, they are discounting them to half price, that should count as a sale, no?
