Hey all,

There is a group of us that have been getting together and playing on Wednesday nights between 9pm and 1am eastern time. Lets get this thing organized and well promoted and it will improve our gaming experience immensely. From what I have found, teamwork and communication is what warhawk is all about, and with mics this all equals more winning and therefore more fun!

What we have been doing is finding a ranked server and people have been searching for buddies in game and locating the server that way, but if we get more people interested it would make sense to get a dedicated server. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on how to get a dedicated server? I know you can run of your ps3, but can you use a pc as a server? Maybe TWW clan guys can chime in on their setup?

Any other suggestions are welcome.

I'd be up for it. Haven't played Warhawk in a while because the TWW guys have been rocking GRAW2 lately. But I'd love a reason to play Warhawk again!

Total_Chaos usually sets his PS3 up to host on Tues. Maybe you can talk him into Wed too

I think connection speed has an impact as well, I have a low end broadband connection. Anyone got a T3 line?

HOCA has run dedicated servers.

I can only host 8-player sessions. Another guy can host 12-player sessions.

A wired connection is a must for this.

I have a second ps3 that I could set up as a ranked dedicated server.... Just let me know, I *usually* can host 20 but unless things have changed Warhawk is always a bit flaky.

OK, try it. I set it up as AVSse (se=southeast) with no password for now. Let me know what kind of rotation list you guys want. I have it on like 5 zones rotations right now.

Crap... my effing download isn't working again... I've got the ranked dedicated server setup with the retail version so *hopefully* after I redownload warhawk and reinstall I'll be able to play as well.

Just got back from dinner and noticed there was a network error so I lowered the number of players to 16 and put it back online...

Good idea.

I was in there for a little while to get an idea of network stability. Once we got to 17 or 18 people, it started to get laggy and was eventually unplayable.

I sent out PSN invites to metafourik, tneck, & matzira, as these guys seem to be the "regulars." Jerz, I didn't catch your PSN ID. If you frequent Warhawk, I'd like to add you as well if you have room.

I'm on hold with Sony once again to try and solve error 80010017.... The download version blows when you own more than 1 ps3. The server with the retail version is working but the download isn't so I can't join...

Sony is going to research the problem I continue to have with the download and call me back. I have to say that their customer service definately want to please their customers so they get gold stars on their customer service from me.

Jerz thanks for the time and effort. I am gonna try and find the server now. Also I will send you a psn friend invite so we can find each other on warhawk servers.

Have there been many AVS, TWW, or HOCA guys on?

Your server is experiencing some serious slow-down, even with 14 people. I've noticed this on a lot of user-hosted servers lately. I wonder what's up?

My internet connection can only handle 4 player games. If you guys can host more than 12 players than you must have a really fast internet connection. Or my connection really sucks.

Well... that sucks. I was playing resistance on the other ps3 since I couldn't play warhawk on it? I just put it back up since I received the dreaded "Network Error" again. If it craps out again I'll drop it down to 12.

I'm on all the time. Usually the guys on TWW are playing Rainbow 6:Vegas.
I play after on Wednesday and I also play on Friday/Saturday.

I'm always on. I played on the HOCA server on Sunday for a few matches but when it was set up, the room had to have 8 players to start the game. It took a half an hour or more just to start a game.

How many people are looking to get on tonight? I should be on around 10pm eastern. If there are enough people getting on I will create a player room. I think I can get 10-12 per team.

If not I'll just look for you guys when I get on and we will try and take over a room again.

Avarice thanks for the invite. Added you as a friend. Always good to have more people to play Warhawk with.

I'll try to make it tonight. If not I'll set my PS3 up. I can usally host matches of 16..but set it to 12 to be safe.

I got access to plenty of them..at work...OC-192 anyone?? Just wish I had Fiber to my house. I have to make due with ADSL...

Sounds like fun to me. What will the room name and password be so I know what to look for if some of my clan mates are not in it.

Bah..Humbug!.Doesnt have much to do with it being Wifi. During the beta I was hosting 16 players via Wi-fi. Since the official release it will only let me host 12 via wi-fi and 16 wired. The thing with Warhawk and hosting is, it's not your downlink speed that matters most. Uplink is more important when hosting. I typically get 800K to 1M up on my ADSL. THIS is what determines how many people you can host

I got called into work. I hope you guys get on and have some fun. Challenge for the night is: Kill the flag carrier with a sniper rifle from distance. I am on all the time I have like 80 hours into the game, so look for me, and I'll look forward to next wednesday.
