I also have a6 towers with mtm center and I love them. I use to have Polk 70 fronts and Polk center but it did not sound good at all but Ed speakers I think are amazing value and are really laid back and now I can listen to music for hours.
Any chance you guys could post some pictures of the A6.t's and the A6 mtm? I cant really find any on the eD site. They all look like digital renderings.
I'll be there Monday. I'll snag a couple pics while I'm there if nothing gets posted up here. I have the MTM so I'll get you a pic of that later today. Monday I'll get a pic of the A6.T's for you.

I'm glad someone got you taken care of. I'll admit, I spaced it today. My photo taking skills aren't that great either! FWIW, I do like the look of the 6.T's.

I'm considering an eD set up and would like to know people's thoughts.

I'm looking at getting the A6.t Towers and the A6.mtm for the Center. What are the feelings of those that have this front 3? My room is roughly 20x25x9 and the $600 for these is pretty much my budget for the front. I'l be using the BIC v1220 and old satellites until I upgrade to the A2 300 and A4.b's.

Thanks for the help.

Hello THelaw. I just replied to your post on our forum, but wanted to put it here as well.

I currently run a pair of A6-6T6 Towers and had an A6-6T6 MTM as the center at my residence. It is what I ran for over 4 years now.

The A6-6T6 Tower and A6-6t6 mtm reviews that you read online are going to be pretty similar to the A6.t and A6.mtm's. With the exception of the newer A6.t and A6.mtm's being built here in Iowa, using better wood material, better construction techniques, and better bracing. This leads to better sound quality due to reduced cabinet resonances and structural integrity.

That is correct, our products do not have key holes because many customers put them on stands, or use one of many mount styles available.

Some of which mount to the bottom of the speaker.

Our A4/A6 cabinets all feature crossover networks that mount directly to the back of the terminal cup/ binding post. This means all you need to do is line up your mounts, mark with pencil and pre drill. Nothing that you can drill into on the cabinet will be damaged, as no critical electronics are in the way.

When removed, you can either leave the screws in the cabinet, or remove. The wood used will not leak with a standard wood screw removed later on.

Here are some pictures of a customers setup with the A6 and A4 products.

I should also mention that the flash is what makes the bracing behind the grill cloth visible. Its not visible in normal lighting conditions.

Thanks you very much for your reply and the great information. The pictures so far have helped with the WAF lol. Also, thanks for the info about the brackets/mounts. I was wondering how to safely screw them to the A4's. Hopefully I'll be placing my first eD order in about a month when we move. I wish I could get everything at once so I don't have to suffer with lesser quality sub/surrounds but I'll just have to wait

Another question - Will I have any problem powering these with my Pioneer vsx-919?
I am glad that the pictures helped for you. If you would like, I can take some more if needed.

The Pioneer will work great. Its more than enough power honestly. I have a 70 watt per channel Kenwood and other than the sound quality aspect, it offers more than enough power to get loud.

I know some guys using A6.t's on 10x2 and 25x2 amplifiers.

So I'm still shopping around for speakers and looking at different companies. Why doesn't eD have a 30-Day Trial Period like every other ID company? While the In Home Audition Map is a great idea, it's pointless for me since there is no one in the DC area on the map. Also, if I did listen to someone's speakers in their home and I love them, they may sound completely different in my setup.

I'm a little hesitant about dropping $1k on a 5.1 setup with out hearing it. If I don't like it, I'm screwed and stuck with it. With other companies I'd be out shipping at most - which is a huge selling point for me.

eD - Any plans on adopting a 30-Day trial period in the near future?

I think their 30 day return policy pretty much covers that. You just have to pay for return shipping and make sure the items are packed well in original and reusable condition packaging.

You can call up eD and talk to a customer service rep to get more information.

I'll give them a call this weekend. I looked on their website and it says only unopened items can be returned for a refund but my be subject to a 25% restocking fee...not too thrilled about that.

Sorry for not seeing this earlier.

We do offer a 30 day in home trial. You can return the product within 30 days for a refund minus shipping cost. As long as the product is in undamaged condition, no restocking fee will be charged.

I should also mention, the only full range products we have ever had returned have been to downgrade into the smaller size speakers, simply due to them being to large.

I am sorry for the confusion on that.

It looks like it's been a while since anyone has commented on their ED Speakers. I am really thinking about the A6.t towers, A6-6t6 center and maybe the A6-mtm as side/backs. I currently have some 7-8 yr old Paradigm Monitor 7 v3 fronts, CC-370 center and ADP-370 dipoles in the back. I have 2 ED subs an A2 & A3-300.

I have a Denon-1910 amp and use my system for 100% home theater.

Will I see much of an improvement by going to the ED's? My biggest complaint now is the center channel. I don't think it is loud enough. I always have to crank up the volume during quiet, speaking parts of movies. Also, could I just do new fronts and centers and keep my rears? I really like the di-poles in the back for surround effects. For around $1,100 all in, the ED speakers, seem like a good value?

Thanks for the help!

A6.t - Pair
A6.mtm - Single
A4.b - Bookshelf Pair
A2 - 300 Subwoofer
Now just waithing for the delivery guy. Hopefully it will be here by end of the week. I'll post my review when I get everything set up. What should I demo first?
Alex is working up a little custom sub for me to go under my rear riser and add to the A2-300 I already have. Going with a sealed box and dual e3.8's powered by a Behringer A500. This will be facing the rear of the front seats in the theater. Can't wait to finish the room and get the new sub installed!

Sweet! Congrats on the new home!
doesnt look like anyone posts in here much anymore, but I wanted to ask about the grill issue and whether or not it had been addressed? I read back to posts from 2009 and dont see much about it other than some angry posts about it.

are people still happy with their eD speakers? how good are the subs?
Pretty sure the grill issue was fixed by the new design. A6T6 still sound better than axiom M60's and many other towers I've had. Our other house still has A4mtm's, A4b's, and A2-300 subs.

I've moved the A lineup to another room for Chase SHO-10s LCR.

Maybe also check out the new eD 6 cinema line.

thanks for the info autox.

Congrats. Are you going to hang the rears? I hope you take some pics .
Still using my A6-6T6's, have had them for a couple of years now. No problems and still sound great. Looking to add a center channel now, was thinking of the new Cinema series eD[c]6.Center and wondered what you guys thought of that as the set up?

You do realize how big these are for surrounds? If you have the room they will sound great. Mine are upgraded big time but they sound really good.
