Toshiba HD-A20 Audio Sync Issue at 720P

I have an Toshiba HD-A20 connected to a LG 32LC7D LCD Flat Panel via HDMI. I have upgraded to the 2.5 FW successfully and played only 2 discs in the player.

Hero's Disc 1
Knocked Up

I noticed on Knocked Up (but don't recal noticing it on Hero's), that there is definitely an audio sync issue (lips don't match the dialogue). I have read the threads about the new 1080p24 option, however my player is set to 720P.

Is there a workaround for this issue while I wait for the new FW to come out and fix this? I have no DD receiver, just the player and the panel. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Set the player output to 1080i and let the TV downscale to 1366x768p

That might help with the A/V sync problem, too

You know, I watched "knocked-up" on standard DVD last night, and I thought I noticed a lip-syncing issue too. I didn't notice it through the whole film, I think it was early on.

In my case it was pretty subtle.

Is it possible that it's the film and not the player?

Well that is even more strange. I have a few more episodes of Hero's to watch and just got Evan Almighty to try out next.

whats your reasoning to output 1080i when your native res is 720p? Isn't the scaling chip in the A20 better than any display out there?

I have a Sanyo Z5, and I am outputting 720p because that is its native res...I see no point in outputting something just so it can be scaled back again.
