I'm having battles on the WAF(amount see will let me spend) but I don't want to lowball the person and scare them off.
Second. If I use the analog connections for HD-DVD will I still at least get 5.1 for SD or can I also hook up the optical and switch the menu around depending on which type of disc I watch? (I don't own an HDMI receiver)
Lastly. I should know this but I better get conformation. Can I hook up my A2 to my regular old S-video TV and still get a picture? (sorry if this last question is out of line since it's not an A35)
100 bux sounds like a very reasonable offer. Tho ask them can they include two HD DVD's with it. All they can say is no, right?
Tell them also that the fine print on some of these 5 free HD DVD's rebate forms has a stipulation to not grant you those disc because it is stated somewhere on the the receipt as "an open box item". This may be a good justification to even low ball them even more.
Although my buddy did get his 5 free discs even though it stated on the BB receipt as "an open-box" item. They don't have to know that tho.
If you use the 5.1 analog audio of the A35, you should get the full benifit of 5.1 TrueHD (internally decoded by the A35). For regular 5.1 DD and DTS, the sound quality should be the same, when outputting it through the A35 5.1 Analog Out.
Yes, your A2 S-video out should display a maximum resolution up to 480P. Don't quote me on that.
Good luck negotiating with them!
