Understood, but I'm an A35 owner, and this is the A35 thread. So my call to Tosh CS was focused on the A35 player. Most of the other firmware files are valid, so I would think people would want to take the proactive step of contacting Toshiba on their own for the few applicable models that are adversely affected.
As I suggested, give them a call. The more the merrier, so to speak. Broad participation will resolve the problem sooner rather than later.
