Better for each source to have its own input or use AVR with switching?

I have seen this question asked before, but no one ever answered.

I have a PS3 hooked up to HDMI-1, A20 to HDMI-2, Tivo S3 to Component1, and Nintendo Wii to Component-2. I have a Mits Y65. I can control multiple settings for each input on the Mits. If the technician comes, should he callibrate each input? They say they use a laptop to hook directly to the TV. Would I be better off to get an AVR with switching, like the Onkyo 705, so that everything enters there and is output to the tv just to HDMI-1? Would that be easier? Would the tv be callibrated for "general" settings instead of for each component in the system?

Thanks,
Doc T

You suspicions are correct, you will be best off with separate inputs to the Mits. And the reason is that you are able to have individually calibrated settings for each source. If, the switching of inputs is an operational hassle, many suggest the use of a Harmony Remote (I have the 880) for system control.
