Did you download the January update? The March update is no longer on the LG site.

[quote=bradavon;13430230]Sorry what does mula mean?

Mula is money; it's a South African slang term. Maybe it means something else in another country.

Cerrot,

If I remember correctly, you were bashing this unit to no end and that you had purchased an Elite 95 which you said blew the LG away. I'm glad you came to your senses! Smile... Look in the "others" settings and you will see an option for 1080p film mode.

I think the January update has the 1080p24 option too, it's the other stuff which it's missing.

Thanks. We use that too in the UK. I asked as I don't get what iluvmyjvc means when he says "Mula will be the difference". I never knew it was a South Africa term.

Decision made. BH200 it is... If LG will continue to support HD DVD then I will continue to support LG...

No. AFAIK, nothing about the BH300 has been confirmed. I'm looking forward to hearing about it from LG.

I'm just keeping it to play the few HD discs I have. The Elite is still my main rig ---and I still don't have the 24 frames. I downloaded both firmwear upgrades and tried both and no 24 frame option on either (upper or lower of the 2 options - was there a 3rd that was pulled? Hey, I still paid a grand and would like to get some use out of it. True HD only shows up as DTS on my 92THX elite receiver - before it was 2 channel - I'm still missing something. I could use some help.
Suntanjam, I have no option there with either firmwear upgrade. What did I miss?
Cerrot,

I believe someone uploded the correct firmware to a website. Check a few pages back. Once you update the correct firmware, set the HDMI out to "pass through". If you have the correct firmware you will see an option in the "others" settings for 1080p film mode. I would email it to you but I think the file is too large. Good luck.

Guys - What am I missing? I just had a Linksys router hooked into the 200. The LG goes out looking for an update - about 15 secs later it can't find one. So where the.......is this 0702 driver - do I have to have it - and how the ..... do we get it if the internet connection won't go get it?
and - if you request a disc for the NEW firmware update you'll get the January one. Customer service has no idea what the mad scientists are doing in Korea. (Except building bombs...)

4-6 through 4-19, LG is offering a $200 instant rebate on the BH200. MAP on the LG BH200 is $799, so you will be able to purchase it for $599. So if you can wait a little while you can save some cabbage!

Now now that's the North Koreans, not their South Korean (who make the BH200) brothers

Not me in the UK . It is $629.95 before postage here:

I've no idea if that's a good price.

That depends how you define correct. The latest official January firmware is but not the March firmware we all want.

Much appreciated. I will try it now.

Is calling someone a Yank ever considered rude or is it always fine to use in place of American?

Don't know. I'm 1/2 British anyways - maybe $100 for me.

It's rude if the someone is from the south.

Thanks Bradavon, Suntanjam and everyone else. I downloaded and installed and have the 1080p film mode option and just threw in the new Die Hard and Dolby Master Audio is confirmed. I didn't watch long enough to confirm if the dropouts are gone, but from what I have been reading here, they should be okay. Strange that LG pulled the firmware. I wonder what evils lurk. Thanks again for all your help.

So it's best to only use it with people you know? I'd struggle to pick out if someone was a Southerner by accent, maybe a Texan.

What evil lurks? Me thinks we're doing the testing for them - and upgrading their dim AVS image at the same time.

Is this information available anywhere online. Its not on the LG site that I can find. I wonder if CC would let me return and buy back since I will be within the 30 days to get the rebate.

Willy,

It was just announced to LG Dealers today, hence the reason you can't find it. If you're within the 30 days, absolutely play the game!

I wouldn't know about SD - I use a Rotel RDV 1080 with component which is absolutely stunning. Wouldn't leave it for a mil. Absolute film like (I know, I said "like").
