I'm in the process of calibrating my unit and am having a difficult time adjusting brightness and contrast. I'm using GetGray and CalMan along with a Pantone i1 Display LT.
For brightness, I'm trying to adjust so that the below black bars just disappear. The problem is that I can't get my set to display the below black bars at all. Even on the highest brightness there are no distinguishing below black bars. I believe this unit does have an issue displaying black but what do I do. Right now I adjsuted so that the +1% bar just appears and then go a couple notches up. So that's giving me a brightness of 35.
For contrast, it's the same issue. No matter how low I display contrast I cannot get rid of the +5% white bar.
Giving these limitations, how should brightness and contrast be set?
