Hey guys

I am kinda new the whole audio game of home electronics.. So I don't know exactly what I need. I have a LNT40 Samsung 1080p tv along with a BDP1000 & toshiba a2 dvd player. What im looking for is a reciever that is 7.1 capable along with that can have two hdmi sources running to the reciever and one running to the TV. I am confused with the some reciever saying they are HDMI passthrough and switching, along with some that will 1080p upscalling. Any advice or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. My budget is anything under 1000US.

Thanks

Some Options would be the Onkyo 805, Denon 2808, the Yamaha 1800, and the pioneer 92THX. There are threads on all of these on this forum. All but the first are over 1000 but can be found for less on the internet. All of these are HDMI 1.3 and can decode HD surround formats if you have a player that can pass them over bitstream, or if not can accept them decoded from them player and passed over hdmi using PCM.

I was leaning Onkyo, but there are some issues that I am not OK with. I own a Denon now and am happy with it and familiar with how they work, so I am leaning 2808.
