good info! you got a link to where that is from? was that in the Xbox thread?

You never know...

But good looking out... I'd been checking there, but it seemed that fourzerotwo had disappeared from there. Thanks for the link... that should settle it once and for all.

So it looks like it will tell you if you have friends online that happen to be playing COD4. But to add friends you have to quit out of COD4?!?

Thanks Adam

There wasn't in the beta, and it was noted on the COD boards. A dev stated they would add it, but according tot he screen shot of the menu, it has the same basic adjustability as the beta - which is to say no slider.

But I hope I'm wrong.

Thanks a million for the map list, Adam. I appreciate it.

Adams, thanks for the hard work. I can't not wait for this game.

I'm heading back to SF on Wednesday, I'd love to know as well. I'm going to be on Market and 3rd, so I'm right down the street from Chinatown!

I don't know if it's been answered yet (or asked?), but how long is the single player campaign estimated to be?
is the split screen offline or online? Or both? Can't seem to clarify.

It is around 6-8 hours long. Pretty short !

IMO if it were any longer I'd probably never get through the single player because I'm going to have such a great time playing multiplayer.

Agreed! After listening to other podcasts, several had stated it took them from 8-10 hours. So I guess your milage my vary depending on if you want to fly through it or not. If you fly through it then you probably aren't enjoying it anyways and just trying to get through as fast possible.

Morning all -

I could see single player taking a while - I've gotten into a few good hard firefights on Regular difficulty, so if you play on Hardened or Veteran (I think that's what I recall it being named), you could definitely lengthen the single player.

Also, there are pieces of "enemy intelligence" placed in the surroundings that you can pick up - there seems to be 30 total in the game, not sure what you get for getting them all!

Just posted some updated pics: Multiplayer Map descriptions and controller layout/buttons Good news for those concerned about slider sensitivity - you can change it via a numerical scaling system

Thanks again Adam. You are the envy of many right now! LOL

Great job, Adam!!

So what's the deal with the friends list? What does the 'You can add friends from the Cross Media Bar by leaving CoD4' mean?
Man, can't seem to find out if you can have guest/split screen online or not. No one seems to know and it's a hot topic out there on a lot of boards. If you get a chance could you please let us know?

And thanks for the pics.

^^

Judging by the fact that the split screen option isn't within the online option, my guess is split screen offline, one player online.
Yeah it does look that way but man that's a huge disappointment.

Cysquatch it doesnt have to be in "Chinatown" per se.. but usually ANY of the smaller shops that sell things like import games will sell titles early. Another thing to look for is if they have a regular cash register where you have to punch in the price on a number pad.. versus one of the more advanced registers that will scan things.

I actually found Madden07 for sale a few days early at Kmart. And while the cashier was more than willing to sell it to me, the actual cash register wouldnt. It would not allow the sale of the game before a predetermined date.

So for anybody thats looking around..

1) Search for small mom and pop shops that sell import games (these guys typically bend the rules selling import goods anyways)

2) Call first and see if in stock..

3) Take a trip with cash..

Like I said in NYC I've never been dissapointed trying to buy a game early when I find a combination of the above 3 things.

PS.. One more tip.. GOOGLE for "COD 4 early sale" in your city. With the internet you'd be surprised how many forums (just like one) has one person who finds a place to buy the game early. And shares it with the world.

Adam, IW had said they would have some 'special luv' for the PS3 version of the game. http://www.n4g.com/ps3/News-76861.aspx

Do you have any idea at what it could be? Rumors were that there would be a version of CoD2 on the disc as well. IMO, that would make sense since IW already developed the CoD2 version on the PS3 as 'practice' for CoD4.

Hi Adam, Good Morning all,
