That said, there was an interview with the developers of COD4 on Gametrailers and I know they said the PS3/360 version online play was limited to either 32 or 64 players total, I don't remember which, and PC was unlimited depending upon bandwidth.

I'm hoping users will be able to set up their own dedicated servers (separate ps3) similar to what warhawk allows. Anyways, IMO 32 players is more than enough for most types of games.

Sorry, just got settled and had a chance take screenies (okay and play a little bit =p ).

Forgive the poor quality, never tried taking pictures of games before.. if anyone has any tips let me know. (It's hard when there's no pause)

Does CoD4 have M/K support, for some reason i thought it did. I wish i had the cash to pick this up on release, its gonna kill me not to!

Just hopped into the multiplayer menu - It let me search for games, but didn't have any type of server choices (a la warhawk). You can also host your own "private party"

Multiplayer menu Message of the Day: "Report anything you see that isn't shippable!"

I'm guessing it has clan support?

Lobby system for parties?

Class creation, challenge mode, clan tags (so to me that implies clan support), map select types all are unlockable features based on your rank.

adams828, great job getting those screenshots up. I hope the rest of us can get an early copy too.

I can see jaggies with the shadows (similar to a lot of other games), but other than that, the graphics look pretty good.

Ahh yes, i see that. I think with a game paced like CoD that isn't much of a problem, definitely one of the better looking shooters.

I'm totally new to the console gaming world after picking up a PS3. When do game reviews typically come online? Is it like DVD where we'll see reviews online about a week before release? I haven't been able to see any reviews for this from the sites I visit. I read somewhere that the single player campaign is only about 6 hours or so (which would be disappointing) as I prefer that than multiplay online.
Thanks!

more importantly, how does the game play?

Depends on the game, some reviews come early, some on time, some late. 6-8 hours is really the fastest you could get through it, the average person will probably get at least twice as much time out of the single player campaign, and then there are harder difficulties.

Could Adam just tell us all where he got the game early? I'm sure it's not a national security secret or anything. That way some of us can at least know where to start looking early.

It's a 60fps game, so it has half as much time to render the scene as 95% of the games out there.

Keep those pics coming man!

Thanks for the info, look forward to more pics in between games

Yeah, I'd like to know why that info hasn't been divulged, either. You can't post pics of the box and the screens and call it a day.

I'm going to look for it in Chinatown tomorrow.. I'll let you guys know if I find anything..
It can't look like that in game. It's better than the PC demo maxed out.

Sure it can

As the Aamco commercial goes.. "I got a guy" (not someone at a retailer).

If anyone has tips on how to take better pics, I'd appreciate it. There seems to always been movement on the screen, even during breaks in the action (such as squadmates looking around, adjusting, etc).

Gameplay so far is great, only been able to play through a few missions. Definitely went through one heart-pounding firefight in a cluttered building.

more pics plz if you can.
Wow, those COD4 screenshots look amazing! How did you get the game so early?

adams828... MORE PICS PLEASE!!

plus, your famous now, you've started a 200+ post thread on neoGAF! stick a watermark on your pics before some kid claims them as his own...

Any comments on gameplay? Hows the framerate? Hows the control? Any graphical tearing during the action?
More pics please.

Thanks

Woah, crazy. Don't really care if someone else claims that they're theirs.. just wanted to give back to my AVS buddies.

holy shat!
i was going to wait for reviews to see if the game is in fact 5-6 hours, but i might pick it up day 1 regardless for how nice it looks.
