There are blood splatter decals for headshots, as well as blood sprays if I'm not mistaken.

This is the most excited I've been for a title in a long time. Can't wait. Looking at those videos doesn't make the wait any easier. But I do enjoy them.

thanks adam. Vids look great. Can't wait till monday!

The movement of the other players in those videos looked so smooth. Very impressive netcode from what we've seen so far.

I asked earlier in the thread, but never got an answer from Adams.

Have you seen or experienced any glitches or problems with the game so far on the PS3? Any graphical oddities, or game freezes? Just curious.

I already have too much invested in the PS3 version, I went and bought a new wireless router and a bluetooth earpiece just too play COD4 on the PS3, so regardless I am sticking with it.

IW said themselves that the PS3 will get "at least 60 FPS".

adam once again thank you for taking the time and making those great videos!(is that pipeline btw?) and thanks for your patience and dedication during this week with all of us.

To the people who have the game, whats the framerate like?. Smooth?, consistent?, like ratchet?. If the framerate is good, i will order it tonight.
The framerate is flawless. I have played both versions and there is no difference whatsoever. If someone is saying the ps3 version is more jaggy they are SERIOUSLY reaching for something to nitpick. If you have a ps3 you should have this game.

Thanks mate, my only other worry was the shadows.. what are they like at distance?, i was worried it was going to turn into another HS shadowing debacle?.

I seriously havent noticed anything off. The game is so visually awesome you are just staring at the screen with your mouth open half the time. Cant believe how they managed to have so much going on at the screen and keep that framerate.

I cant wait to play it over on a harder difficulty The game is awesome.

where did u guys bought the game??
I wouldn't be too concerned about being low rank, I've totaled ~3 hours in multiplayer, and I'm already lvl 13. The points needed per lvl up isn't too high.

(This is my first ps3 FPS, and I'd consider myself average..)

A bunch of AVS'ers are part of The Weekend Warriors Clan. I just joined myself but i've played Rainbow 6 Vegas with them in the past. Great bunch of folks and we're gonna have a blast with COD4.

FYI You learn how to take care of the helo's. An experianced team will take down a helo shortly after it launches via shooting at it's tail fin. They come down pretty quick.

We know for certain that it is possible to include ALL the communication features of Live in a game for the PS3 (minus sending voice messages at this current time), but the developer has to code for that link to the XMB functionality.

This is true, but it currently takes 16 megs of memory to use the PS3 libraries. Right now that memory is being used for other goodness.

That said, development is on-going. And we are always working to improve things.

I'm glad to see everyone is excited about the game -- even if it has been released early in different places.

Ahh... thank you for the response. It sounds like you know what you're talking about. I was wondering about that exact issue actually. If those features are taking up a moving target of memory (you say currently 16mb) it seems that Sony needs to continue to optimize their own OS.

Some of the access to the XMB in different games is considerably slower or faster depending on the game... And with a full friends list, there seems to be more of a hit then on users with a small friends list.

Thanks for the response! Is it right to assume that Sony can optimize here? And what is your take on why those libraries are not standard in the console OS and left to the devs to add?
