Buying advice- TW700 vs AX100

Hi everyone.

I'm a first time projector buyer in Japan and after a few months of reading here and shopping around I'm finally ready to pull th trigger.

Projector pricing through online stores can get you some great deals here and I've narrowed my search down to 2 pj's- the Epson TW700 and the Panny AX100, mainly because of the great price and the fact that one side of my living room has 4 patio doors which means a lot of ambient light.

Both are available for 130,000 yen (~$1100) and have several advantages over the other.

-TW700 has English menus, a 3 year warranty and a D4 scart connection that I can use for my (Japanese) Xbox 360.

-AX100 only has a 1 year warranty and Japanese menu but comes with an 80 inch screen and is rated as being 400 lumens brighter than the Epson.

I will be using the projector mainly for gaming and watching DVDs but I would also like to connect my computer up to it sometimes.

I am thinking of going with the Epson, mainly because of the English menu but is there anything else that I should know about these 2 pjs before I make my decision?

Any comments will be much appreciated, thanks!

I would go for the TW700. The ax100 had some iris quality control problems. The only real advantage to the ax100 is Smoothscreen: if you sit very very close you won't see screen door.
