I have been in e-mail contact with someone at LG( not Privy to divulge info)
and told them about the X-files problem even after the latest update. they then responded that they confirmed it does not play and are working on it and about a half dozen other movies, along with some other bugs ( not sure what those are). the are suppose to inform me when the update is out, this e-mail was a couple weeks ago.

Don't ask me for more info because this is all I know.

It is very perplexing that LG can not get these problems fixed ONCE and for all. I would think that the Blu-ray speck is some what stable now. Other manufacture are not having the same problems. So why do all these problems persist with the LG bh100?

Disney's "Bolt"

This is before the installation of the 090121 kernal update. We'll see if this update fixes the issue.

I watched Bolt last week and it worked just fine on the BH100 with the 01/21/09 update.

I just received a firmware update disc dated 2 9 09
but when I put it in my player it says it's from January. ugg

Hi

Pardon my total ignorance on the access to and installation of whatever is the latest update for the BH100.

Mainly, I want to investigate HDDVD rather than BluRay - a long story

another post says " I watched Bolt last week and it worked just fine on the BH100 with the 01/21/09 update."

I presume this update adds in all updates HDDVD and BluRay

You seem to be the expert tho :-)

I have read all I can - visited the LG site etc etc. but cannot locate anything

I use a Mac computer (OSX) and don't have any access to a Window machine

Can you assist with a set of instructions to help me do this upgrade

a set of links would suffice - I think

Just purchased Horton Hears a Who Bluary> It states player needs firmware update to play disk.

Does anyone know what DVD burning software will work properly with the ISO file.

My firmware version must be pre-2009 so I assume the latest firmware zipfile available @ 2009 will make more BD work properly in the player if I update to it?

Has anyone had success updating thier LG BH100 Player with the 2009 file?

Horton Hears a Who will play on the BH100 with the 1/2009 update. To find an ISO burner just do a Google search their are several free ones. Active@ISO is one that is free. Or I think the Beta Window 7 has a built in ISO burner.

Ok thanks. I will try those. I'm still using Windows ME though. But will have to eventually switch OS.

It's good to know that the latest update will make that Bluray work though.

I have been looking, but the unit i like is another LG unit. Very hard to buy another LG player. The Sony would be nice but it dose NOT stream Netflix content.

If you can fork out a little more, the Oppo's a gem (but also doesn't stream Netflix...didn't realize you had that requirement). Unfortunately, only LG/Samsung have Netflix-capable players at the moment...though Panasonic may have one due soon.

I did not know that the Oppo was avaiable outside of there beta program. Is it in full production yet?

My problem and concern is with the analog audio outputs and the lack of audio delay circuit in the BH100!! Anybody out there experiencing extreme audio issues? I have a Denon AVR3803 where they handle analog-audio only with no processing, the HDMI goes direct to the display projector in 1080p. The HDMI does NOT output the audio Dolby HD or the DTS True HD anyways. Any of these firmware updates revising the audio menu, or the lack of the True HD audio thru HDMI to anyone's knowledge?? I have come to the end of the BH-100 rope, almost two years of problems. This generation one player is too unreliable and has too many problems. I'am tired of not being able to play BR disks when friends come over. An then waiting up to 6 months for an update.

It is TIME to move on. I will be purchasing ether the Oppo or Sony BDP-s560. I can not justify buying another LG BR player just to get a Netflix streamer.

I just called LG about a BH100 update and they said they are releasing a new version of software for the BH100 on July 17 or 18.
