He said he was friends with a distributor and that he would sell them to him or something.

Hmm, not cool. I believe we need to move forward in respect to AP/TC; the new model lends itself more to car audio. Perhaps licensing the LMS tech might be a good option at some point in the future; although, there are other promising drivers on the horizon...

Which is why I dropped the topic fast and removed the post...

My bad guys... I didn’t mean to create drama.

It is true that are marking more towards the car audio industry… I was going to use one of their subs to build a sub or a sonosub. Do you guys still think its worth using their drivers or are you staying away from some of their newer products since they are going more towards car audio? Or it’s the same as the TC driver?

Depends on the TS parameters. They could still be well suited for HT.

I'm glad I bought a TC-2000 15'' before everything happened... at least I think I am. I still haven't used the driver (still in the packaging) but plan on working on it during the coming months to build a ht sonosub. If there will soon be no or is currently no more support for my driver should I look for something else or just keep going the way I planned? I guess there is no guarantee on everything but they did make their subs in good shape so it should give me no problems, right?

There is still support for your TC-2000 and it will stay that way for a while. http://www.tcsounds.com/support.php

I agree; however, in HT there is typically more room to work with so multiples of more economically friendly drivers wins for most folks. Exodus Audio will soon be streeting an 18" XBL driver for about 1/8 the msrp; Fi will soon be streeting a custom single coil 18" designed from the ground up as an IB driver for about 1/12 the msrp...

I really respect the effort placed into the TC lineup, and I really hope they license the technology; however, I believe they've opened the door for others to gain market share.
