Yeah, I'll have to sweep. The place doesn't look dusty at all... until you get down close to take a pic! My wife's reporting in Afghanistan (8 weeks)... she comes back on Friday, so I have to do some major cleaning this week!

That's always the case! I was taking pics of my toy poodles the other day and spotted a dust bunny that was almost as big as they are! LOL!

Is that an Imon VFD (possibly with the volume knob removed?) fitted in an LC17 Silverstone Case? If so, can anyone confirm that the Imon VFD will fit in that tiny slot or is that case modded with a bigger hole?

This is my first HTPC and is for my bedroom, i have just set it to do everything i want. Thanks to a lot of threat i read here and in other forums.

Well, just got around to putting my TV on the wall finally. Setup is finally complete. Very happy with the results.

I'm nowusing my HD-A3 for most of my DVD playing since it does a magnificent job of upconverting. I picked it up for $75 as an open box item last week, quite a steal for a standalone. I still have an old Daewoo DVD/VCR combo for VHS viewing.

Finally, someone willing to go the extra mile and do an internal mod!! AWESOME work anthony. Love the internal "Ready Boost", very clean.

I've got an internal Ready Boost too... I had to get USB PCI card as I ran out of ports and the card has an internal input.

Ok, although I do have a full blown set up in my living room... thought there may be some interest in this smaller version in my bedroom. Of special note is I built this setup within a server chassis I obtained for $79.00. I find pricing ridiculous on the off the shelf HTPC cases when most of them are simply towers thrown on their sides with minor mods. And of course they double / triple the price. I don't recommend a newb tackling their first HTPC using a server chasis, as there was a lot of blood, sweat, and beers.. I mean tears to tackle the metal mods. But for those that don't mind the extra work, it can be quite rewarding... and you'll save a buck or two.

First pic is the original case...

Second shot is the mod'd front with the IMON Media Bay. ( luv it! ) There's a P4 3G oc'd to 3.4 in there, top right is a trayless - removable Hard drive setup I use to back up and transfer movies when my main server in the other room isn't on. I have one removable tray in each of my PC's which is great for transferring 20G + files.

Third is the overall system view. I have a little 100 Watt 5.1 setup which does justice in the confines of the bedroom.

Since I just got engaged I have to pay off the ring before I spend any more $$ on my addictive electronical fixes.. but I will probably rebuild the HTPC in the main room with a server chassis and throw a touch screen in it. Have to time it once the ring's paid off and before the actual marriage! LOL

Keep the systems coming.. hopefully in my dream house I'll have a complete room full of pics to throw up for my home theater!
