What do you think?

The Denon 4308ci cost nearly $1000 more than the Pioneer.

I'm in the market of a new receiver and am comparing the Pioneer Elite VSX 94txh, Denon 3808ci and the Yamaha RXV 3800. The differences are going to be features, brand loyalty and reliability. The features and amplifier section of the Denon 4308ci it MSRP is $900 more.

The Denon 4308ci, is more comparable to the Marantz 8002 and the upcoming Sherwood Newcastle 972 along with other high end receivers from Rotel, NAD and Arcam. The differences would Home Theater features verses Music playback.

There is a little more to it than that. The features of the Denon far outweigh the Pioneer Elite. Serrada, I sent you a message on this.

Still a $700 difference. You are comparing 2 different classes of receivers. If there are features in the 4308 that are more important to you then the difference in price then get the 4308. Otherwise get the Pioneer or a Denon 3808.
