Ok, managed to put up my 8100 last week, and have been playing with it for the last several days. out of the box, the picture looked ok, but definitely not the best. So, I started tweaking the settings. Used Avia dvd to adjust the settings, and most of them came close to what bouda78 had posted in here, except a few.
Even after the adjustments, I am not satisfied with the sharpness of the picture. The edges are not very distinct. This is me coming from Mitsu HC1500 720p DLP.
Here's my setup
Sony DVD Player (Capable of upconverting to 720p)
ATT UVerse (720p capable)
PS3 (set to enable 1080p 24hz)
All 3 routed thru Onkyo 607 via HDMI
Screen is DIY - Wilson Art laminate, Designer White
Now, here are the settings on Pro8100.
---------------------------------------------------------

I did dial down the Red, Blue, Green in PCS from 50 to about 40.

Here are the screenshots.

PS3 DVD (SBSP)

Can someone help with what I am doing wrong here. What settings should be looking at?
My screen is mounted only a couple of feet above the floor, so I am using Vertical Lens shift to max extent so as to reach the bottom of the screen. Does that cause image degradation?
btw, here are a few screenshots of the room. Sorry, grainy pictures because of the low light.

Thanks for reading thru the long post, and your suggestions.
