There are folks out here that have in excess of 6000 hours on the original lamp, and there is no dramatic dimming .. as well, I have personally installed several aftermarket lamps as well as VS lamps .. the result was always the same .. there was no dramatic difference in new vs old lamp light output ..
My own unit measures within 10% of the original measurement when new .. and I have about 3500 hours ..
What are you basing your blanket statement on .. ??
