Best way to connect HD-A3 player to MITS. 3000

[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]I read many post but not sure the best way to connect the video ( hdmi or componet) for best image. The second is the audio, I have pioneer thx 1015 avr no hdmi connection but optical. What type of sound can I expect??[/font]

Use HDMI for video it will allow you to upconvert SDDVDs. Should see a big difference with HDDVD.

HDMI for video and optical out from the HD-A3 for the audio. Unfortunately audio over optical on the HD-A3 isn't as good as the HD-A2, but it's not bad either.
