To keep your exif data, when you convert from RAW to jpg make sure you don't check any options that minimize embedded data.
Thanks! The screenshots got very close to the on-screen experience. The white balance can be dialed it pretty good with this camera. Still struggling with the manual focus though, that's a tricky thing with the G12
I noticed also, when watching these pictures on the 17" crappy lcd monitor at work, they didn't look at all right. I guess it matters greatly what kind of screens we're looking through. (Using a Dell IPS screen at home).
About the saturation you are absolutely right. My projector is a tiny bit saturated and I have come to like it
but it is a very thin line though ! Over
saturation is something I really dont prefer
but nice and strong colors can be really pleasing to the eye.
I'll take some new shots this weekend and also try to get the final .jpgs with the exif information intact. Thanks for the info!
