Thanks for the quick reply. I've tried to output about every audio format you could possibly think of. "HDMI Audio Out" is greyed out at "auto." When I open my audio output options on my laptop (and PC, for that matter) and set it to HDMI, the little volume meter goes up and down like it's playing sound, the receiver's just not accepting anything. On a side note, after my initial post, I plugged the HDMI from my computer directly into the monitor (actually a LCD television) and the TV's optical out into the 705, and it plays fine that way (PCM, DD, and DTS). Really, I'm just baffled.
Edit: When I said "PC," I meant my desktop.
