once you see HD DVD quality, you won't want to watch DiVX movies

Pal and Xvid play in Toshiba's upconverting players, but they ommited it in the HD players which kinda pisses me off so i have to still have my D1 connected to my PJ.

I converted a divx to dvd files and it played on the A3 but the time (counter) was going also 2x time... so when the time reached 2:20 or however long the movie was... it stopped player... so I hit play again... forwarded to that last scene... then it continued to play... but count fast... so I had to do this 4 times to get through the movie... plays fine on the dvd player upstairs...

With the latest update, the 360 is now able to playback most DivX files.

what does that have to do with the A2 or the A3? a countless number of players are divx certified, which is completely unrelated to the topic.

I was thinking that if someone is looking for a DivX compatible HD-DVD player than why not get a 360 with the HD-DVD add-on. It’s not the best way to playback HD-DVDs but it’s the only way to watch DivX files.
