Yea, it's the 23rd....If you wait till the 29th, you'll be S.O.L., and the deal might not be soo hot either.

Other site to check.

As a rookie at Best Buy last year....I can say yes, you are risking life and limb, and I would never do it again. Got my 42" Panny though

I think its the dumbest thing ever to stand in line for 8+ hours to get something you can buy 3 weeks later for the same price.

8 hours is $800 for me anyways so Im not saving a damn thing. I always love seening people sit out in the cold for silly sales most not knowing they wont get squat.

The smart ones just buy online, same $$$, no dumb lines, no rushed judgement.

You make $100/hr in the middle of the night?! Crack dealer?

Are after Christmas sales really as good as BF's?

You'd think after-Christmas sales would be better than BF's, but not so in my (limited) experience.

What do other people think? Specifically, I need a new laptop.

Thanks

hi, I make $1000 an hour, you need a new job -get off the forum.

Oh, I lied. But how's it make you feel to be talked down to?

Has anybody noticed that this year is not as good as last year's BF specials? It seems the only place I'm heading to is Sears..... and that's about it...

I love how they market that day, Just shows how foolish people are Since 99% of the people standing in line all that time dont get a great deal. I gurantee it! They limited the great sale items to a few and so all those silly customers that waited hours outside simply by other items that really are not on sale.

Gotta love the J6P intelligence on this stuff

Stand in line all you want

At sears.......

Toshiba HD-A3 High Definition HD-DVD Player $169.99 (reg 279)
Panasonic 56" Widescreen LIFI 1080p HDTV $1,199.99 (reg 1899) (its not a flatpanel though!!)

you wait inline 5 hours, you are 100th in the store you dont get these things. You can buy lots of other great items. I wake up at 8 am, relax go in at 9 am and buy the same things you did.

Is it woth it to be the first? what does it take 8-10 hours?

I will bet you could get both within 10% of that price tag close to or after christmas. I wouldnt even want the TV.

The other thing about Sears is that they have a 30 day price policy and I wonder if you buy something now they will match the price Friday morning giving anyone credit back on an early purchase?

Might have to test the theory with the HD-A3.
