Anyone here planning on getting Medal of Honor this week?
This will be my first online Wii game, and I am not sure how, but you are supposed to be able to have a "friends list".

I think it uses EA's own system which allows you to play with friends without exchanging friend codes. But you have to create an account, I believe.
I'm going to pick this up simply because I'm curious about the controls and I think the arcade mode will be a lot of fun. Also, the odd online game with drop-in-drop-out ability seems like it could be fun from time to time.

MOH is pretty descent and yes you have to create a EA account but at least I don't need friend codes

No lag in a 32 person game. Feels like online Doom 2.

The game is fun and I"m glad to have bought it. The controls are great and the online is lagfree and fast paced. Definitely fun to log in and get some frags then leave.

The EA account is painless to setup and give so many more features that online games should just have out of the box. The only thing missing is voice chat, but I have setup a Teamspeak server for people to use while playing, makes it so much more fun.

This game is starting to catch my eye - I have read a lot of good things.

What is Teamspeak?

teamspeak is something that you run on your computer and allows for voice chat between people (think skype + chatroom). You would need to have a pc close by in order for you to be able to chat with a headset and mic though.

Gotta say, this game has really surprised me. I picked it up during the TRU buy-2-get-1-free sale before reading any reviews and have been very pleasantly surprised by how much fun it is. The controls are on par with Metroid Prime 3's, and while the graphics aren't up to X360/PS3 levels, they look very nice and do the job. The Wii-mote gestures for some of the weapons are fantastic, especially shouldering the rocket launcher and dialing in the sniper rifle! I tried a little online play and it was definitely smooth and tight, but as others have said, it's a little simplistic relative to the online shooters on the other consoles. Nonetheless, it's fun to play an FPS with Wii controls online...

I'd definitely recommend at least a rental to folks who enjoy shooters.

Hm Im playing the campaign and been seeing a lot of weirdness. Enemies appearing at their spawn spot right before your eyes, enemies walking to their destined routes right pass you then turning around to fire at you.

I've read that AI and enemies on screen took a hit for constant 60 fps.

For me, the controls are NOT as good as Link's Crossbow training as far as aiming and shooting goes. Furthermore, there is no options to 'center' the reticle. With Link's, I can look down the zapper and have the on-screen cross-hairs perfectly centered as I move the zapper left to right and up and down (after I've adjusted it). Not so with MOH. This makes MOH just OK to me. It works but it just isn't as adjustable as I was led to believe from reviews.

Is this game at all multiplayer where you can have multiple players using the same wii? Or, is it only multiplayer in the sense that you can log on and play multiplayer online?

Thanks,

Mitch

The latter.

Well, that's kind of poopy.
Seriously though, the package shouldn't show a wiimote with a number 4 in it if its only on-line multiplayer. That's quite misleading, if you ask me.
Oh well, it's still a fun game.

Although the online play is quite frustrating.
I'm lucky if I last 60 seconds before someone wastes me.
Anyone have any hints or tips? I can't understand how it is that I can riddle a guy with bullets and I still end up dead.

What's the trick to get through the Base map? I cannot "escape" in time without dying. I've gotten out of the cave or whatever before it collapsed only to be surrounded by another bunch of bad guys and dying. Is there some trick to it? Or, is it just a matter of being a good shot and good with the grenades?
