Hmmm.... anyone know how it compares to the PS3? (other than game playing, of course. We already have Wii, and my wife is not too keen on us getting another game console for our 5 year old son to get addicted to! )

It is possible that they may offer the card with any player next week but the only ones I could find confirmed are for the Panasonic and The PS3. No ad scan yet

Sorry. Was referring to 5.1/7.1 analog. I just looked at the ad scan for Walmart next week. It is indeed on every Blu-Ray player. The Panasonic is just the featured product in the ad.

I hope you're joking. When people refer to "analog outputs" with regards to a high-def player, they're talking about 6-channel (or 8-channel) analog outputs that will allow them to take advantage of the high-def audio contained on the disc. They don't care about stereo outputs.

Yes, I was joking.

I read their specs and when I saw the analog outs, I laughed myself, and figured I'd share with everyone. Don't know why they'd even list it, but I guess they have to.

It's $270. I wouldn't risk it with some of the issues this player has. The WM gift card deal still looks more attractive.

Think I am going to hold out on the sammy, and hope for a PS3 amazon lightning deal. That or the walmart one are more attractive due to the PS3's functionality and firmware updates.

IF that is true, how is walmart at price matching if you already bought the player but wanna get the gift card? I got a 1500 at my walmart a week ago, I would hope I would not have to haul the player in there to get the $100 card. but it is walmart and they can be real a$$'s sometimes.

Also, can you post a link to the part about any BD player, I only see the PS3 and BD30 mentioned

Edit: oh, well, it's so big and blatant in the ad, that's why I missed it. Somehow I think this will require some arguing with CSM to get them to honor it. Or there will be a correction posted.

All I can see is the ps3 with the GC going on now, but how about the bd30 and sammy 1500 are they gonna start next week or is it happening now in Wal-mart? any link. I read from the previous page that BB is following WM with bonus GC any info if that's only for ps3 or could it be any Bluray player as well.

I agree.The 1400 has had too many issues to even consider it a deal at $269 and with the 1500 out now receiving much better reviews and write ups than the 1400 ever did, i wouldn't count on Samsung spending much, if any more time
on updates for the 1400.

Man I have a great wife! When I got home from work today, she suprised me and ordered the ps3 from walmart for me...with the free gift card. I guess they're in stock again. Get 'em while they're hot.
