What budget projectors can do that?

What do I need to look for to compute that?

I would like a 1080p

There is no such thing as a budget 1080p. You're looking at $2400+ for the Epson Home Cinema. That's the cheapest I can think of. The new Sanyo Z2000 should have the zooming capability to do that.

Why do you want such a small image?

thread jack, sort of.

the calculator confuses me a bit. yes i am a PJ noob. can someone explain what all the numbers mean. i am looking at the Sanyo z5 and a 108'' screen. room is 21'x13' with 7'5'' ceilings. the room has no natural light as its in the basement with no windows.

where should i pre run my PJ wires to? i think it should be mounted at 14 feet? enlighten me please.

later.

With a screen that small and from that distance you don't need 1080P. You won't notice the difference.

What is your seating distance?

If it's near that 14' area you are probably going to want a larger screen.
I'm at ~10' and very happy with my 92". I origionally thought I was going to do 80" also, but when I mocked up the PJ, it was better and not overpowering at 92.

+ 2. I have a brick and mortar shop by my place and they put a 720p and 1080p in the same room on a 92" screen. They popped in a blu-ray at 1080p and I could not tell which projector was which.

I too have similar questions. My media room is 12' x 13' with no windows connected to a larger game room. I plan to order the epson cinema 1080 and have a throw distance of 13' with a screen size of 92'. Do I need the 1080p or 720p will do? In addition, in order to get that screen size, I have to zoom by 1.5x factor. How much image quality will I be losing by zooming? Seatings will be around 12-13'. Many Thanks!

I will be at 10 foot the PJ will be at 14 foot.

I want the most vivid, concentrated picture possible.

I would be fine with 1080i I think as long as I didn't see the horizontal line buzz.
