Yeah, that's pretty much what my eventual idea is (thinking eventual CIH setup, etc.), so, it seems as though the Denon A7100 will work in the meantime. I've been reading on the
Bryston forum at AudioCircle about the trouble developing their next processor, the SP3. Noting that it hasn't been 'till after CES 2008 that they'll even get a chance to start getting the necessary chips to begin development. So, I suspect the lower end, say below $2.5k, will be a sweet spot as people wait for the highend to get things together (but still want to play with the new codecs). Though hopefully they'll be able to take advantage of the experience from the AVR people to reduce development times, and get the first set of bugs out. But, then just like the blu-ray HD-DVD battle, waiting it out may be the best course of action--though not for all of us with upgraditis.
p.s. Eric, props for getting this to 'stick', now I find it right away, and hopefully with more traffic more info will be offered.
