I do not know much about bass traps, but I'm toying with the idea of making my spot boxes "bass trap ready" in some way.
With "spot boxes" I mean boxes with spots going all around the room where the walls meets the ceiling (like on the picture below):

Such boxes contains a considerable amount of air and my thought is "why not make use of it". The idea is to make several access panels along the boxes so that I later on can replace the access panel and internals to make it a bass trap.
Or is bass traps along the ceiling a bad idea?
