Question on Sony LCD's and Heat

I am trying to decide between the 46" W3000 set and the 52. I'd like to go with the 52" but we have a pretty nice cabinet and the 46" will fit it. If I go with the 52" It probably means another $300-400 for a Stand/Cabinet. Hanging on the Wall is probably not an option. My cabinet is 47.6 inches wide internally and there's a bit of trim on each side, so it should fit but I'll Have to Angle it and then straighten it out.It will have breathing space under the stand area and on top a couple of inches, there's plenty of Depth Room, I know LCD's tend to run hot so should I be concerned about heat?

I have the the Sony 46W3000 TV, and mine is attached to a TV stand in the middle of a wall about 12 feet wide, with about 1 foot from the wall itself. I have not noticed any issues as far as excessive heat. I have all of my components on the 2 shelves that the stand provided, AV Receiver, Blu-Ray Player, Directv Recevier, along with the Center Speaker on top of it all (they are all stacked in a way to "breath" properly without getting hot themselves) and all seems fine with the TV. However, based on what you state above as far as allowing for space between the components and cabinet itself, I believe you will be fine. Of course, if your wife really likes the cabinet, then do you have a choice? Good luck!

Well I could talk her into a new stand, but it does seem to be a waster to not use this as it fits my components pretty well. I would like the bigger set thou.
