So what, I got 100% on We Will Rock You pro bass EXPERT! Ha!
Here are the expert pro g/b charts for "Heart Shaped Box" (wrapped in [spoiler] tags to protect the uninterested ):

I couldn't play them, but I could conceive of playing them (both pro g and b charts are tier 2).

So, we had a pretty epic Rock Band/housewarming party at our new place last Saturday. Even with two RB3 setups blasting away, I was really pleased with how little audio bleed-through there was. This was also our first party since I ditched the ghetto-ass Guitar Hero World Tour drums I was using, and got legit Rock Band drums (for which I also purchased a cymbal kit the previous day). We even got a couple of converts: Our friends Chris and Candace had never played the game before, and now they're hunting it down for their wii. Yay!

Only grr-worthy moment: My partner and I gold-starred "Space Oddity" harmonies on Expert, but since we were set to No-Fail mode for the party... oh ****ing well.

With this house, we have the theoretical ability to do three or even four stages of RB (I'd really like to have one dedicated to The Beatles: Rock Band). I think I'm gonna do a full-court press for that idea next time.

I just discovered the Hofner bass in the Beatles Rock Band bundle also has auto-calibration (which was a sweet-ass bonus).

No fail doesn't affect anything. You still registered the score.

I was in the same boat. PS3 kits are everywhere on clearance, but XBox ones are really hard to find. I just happened to luck out a few weeks ago, when I found a Beatles Rock Band Limited Edition bundle on clearance for $99 at a Walmart. If you don't wanna pay the $100+ even Amazon is asking for drum kits these days, trolling local stores for clearance bargains might be your best hope.

Damn, how many RB instrument setups do you have? We have 5 360s in my house, but all those instruments would get pricey. We do have 5 mics though, only because my daughters and wife love to sing.
We have a setup for our 360 in the living room, and our roommate has one for his PS3.
Oh, and our other roommate has a PS3 on his LED set, and we can easily lay our hands on another set of PS3 peripherals for a party, but he wanted to keep his den as a chillout area for people who wanted to get away from Rock Band for a while.

I will say it, I think re-Arranged and Nookie will be fun, even if Fred Durst is a class A whiner.

Second week in a row that I can give my wallet a rest .
This is some kind of twisted joke right? I know it's not April 1st, but this can't be happening.
I'll be getting the pack.
I'm surprised they didn't want to include any tracks from the first CD, which is the only halfway decent one out of any of them.

I guess stuff like 'Nookie' is more popular though.
Huh, I forgot all about the first CD. I remember when Counterfeit was an obscure song on local radio rotation, and it was pretty good. Afterward Durst started giving me douche chills once they got famous.

Mustang is $80 at Amazon today. PS3, 360, and Wii.
I thought FD was pretty upfront about being a douche, and I could kind of respect that when compared to other nu-metal acts of their time who seemed to be trying to give off the keeping it real vibe. But I have no desire to revisit that era. ever.

LB's first album Three Dolla Bill Y'all is actually quite good (and quite different from the rest). I saw them on a tiny stage at RockStock in Chicago in 1997 (I think). I had no idea who they were, but I was interested because they didn't have a set list... they just asked the crowd of 50 or so what they wanted them to play. They then opened for the Deftones at the Metro and that was one of the best concerts I have been to.

Drummed last night for the first time in a long long time... and went for about six hours. even hooked up the stage kit after it got dark.

I gotta get back to playing the squier a couple of times a week.

Since Rock Band on Facebook reached 2 million likes, they released info on four upcoming DLC artists:
Quote:

Coldplay, a highly requested community favorite, will join RB for the very first time!
Breaking Benjamin will add more tracks, including a few key requests after their last pack
Stevie Wonder, another newcomer to RB, will delight keyboardists and dazzle the rest of the band with funk

Rounding out the 4 artist announcement, there's also a single coming from:

Dream Theater, one of the most challenging bands featured in RB, and a favorite among the hardcore

Truth be told, I'm most excited about the Breaking Benjamin songs since their other three songs are so fantastic on drums.

Dream Theater - "A Change of Seasons"
DO IT!
I'm looking forward to Coldplay and Stevie Wonder. Don't care for Dream Theater, but I'll give a listen to the specific Breaking Benjamin tune or tunes that they release.

Coldplay's new album, "Mylo Xyloto" is due out on Tuesday the 25th so that's when I'd expect their pack to hit the streat
post #11938 of 12395
The announcement today was HUGE for me too...I like Coldplay, think the Dream Theater and Stevie Wonder will be fun to play, and love Breaking Benjamin - I'm hoping for "Breath" from them, one of my all time favorite songs.
I pretty much hate all that except Stevie, which I'm just not really enthused about, though I could see buying a few of his tracks if I thought my wife or son would like them.
