Wow that was epic! Only slight issue is some huge gaps for pro-bass but still so awesome.

Huge gaps for pro drums (and vocals) as well, but really awesome. I'll probably just 2 star the whole track and rate the individual pieces higher so that it doesn't come up in randoms.

Can you please explain "Huge gaps for pro drums (and vocals)"? I have not had a chance to play it yet.

Thanks

Ken

Long stretches of time where you are not playing or singing. Check out the vids on Youtube. A lot of the section transitions don't have drums or signing at the "new" intros.

What instrument do you play Cool? I picked up the Ion drums a long time ago, and my kids play guitar and keyboard...

Meh. I use to love some of their stuff in my mid-to-late teens when it came out ("I Can't Go For That" was one of my favorite ice skating songs, along with "Dirty Laundry" and "Tainted Love" ). Now it just seems like "easy listening" . If the charts look fun I may pick one or more of them up.

From the preview vid, I'm in for all of them! The Edgar Winter Group songs look amazing on drums.

DLC Week of 1/17 - Singles from Korn and The Edgar Winter Group!

In 1972, The Edgar Winter Group achieved commercial success with their fourth studio album, They Only Come Out at Night. The record contained two of Winters’ biggest hits – “Free Ride” and “Frankenstein” – both of which are headed to the Rock Band Music Store with full support for keyboards. A Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrade will also be available for the instrumental jam, “Frankenstein.”

More than 25 years later, metal band KoRn was getting its first taste of mainstream success. “Freak on a Leash,” off of 1998’s Follow the Leader, was one of the band’s most successful singles. The group found success again with its single “Falling Away From Me,” from 1999’s Issues, which peaked at number one on the Billboard charts.

Available on Xbox 360, Wii™ and PlayStation®3 system (January 17th, 2011):

• The Edgar Winter Group – “Free Ride” O
• The Edgar Winter Group – “Frankenstein” O X
• KoRn – “Freak on a Leash”
• KoRn – “Falling Away From Me”

(These tracks will be available in Europe on PlayStation®3 system January 18th)

Tracks marked with “O” feature support for keyboards; tracks marked with “X” will offer Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions for $0.99 per song.

Price:

$1.99 USD, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU (160 Microsoft Points, 200 Wii Points) per song
$0.99 USD (100 Wii Points™/80 Microsoft Points), £0.59 UK, €0.79 EU per song for eligible Pro Guitar/Pro Bass upgrade

I'm in for the Edgar Winters stuff. Got no use for KoRn.

I've seen the sites where they sell the hacked accounts and points. The sellers say that you need to log in to the account and use the points within two hours because that is all that they will warrant them for. They say you need to "transfer the points to your account" which I don't think is really possible. What people are really doing is buying the content with your account on their console which then ties it to their console. They can then use the content with their own tags and it doesn't matter if your hacked tag gets shut down.
Funny, remember when I said that there are long stretches with no drums on 2112? Apparently, it's long enough between notes that, on the PS3, the drums will auto shut off if you don't press the d-pad or select button in between.

so i bought the hall and oates pack. i had enough points left over for the stevie wonder pack and one queen song. now i have enough for one last song.

what should i get?

my top 2 probabilities are "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" or "She's Not There"

The 5-lane guitar and bass charts for "She's Not There" are tons of fun. The guitar only comes in during the chorus and bridge (absent from the beginning to the 1st chorus and between the 1st and 2nd chorus, but continuous after that), but it's a fun sequence of single notes and shifting chords. You can see the guitar chart here:

I love the Zombies and also bought "Tell Her No". I wish that they'd add "Time of the Season". It'd also be nice if they'd introduce RB3 versions of the other two with keys charts; the piano and organ in these songs are excellent.

"Do You Really Want To Hurt Me" looked like a snore so I didn't buy it.

For all you drummers out there, check out this very interesting motion capture project:

http://thecreatorsproject.com/blog/d...-ghost-drummer

The musician/artist used motion capture while playing a drum solo, then digitized just the captured 3-D arm movements in real time while playing the piece.

I thought the result was pretty nifty and might appeal to other drummers out there.

Lame (though I'll probably buy the pack). There was a big pack of CCR last year. Nice to have "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" and "Suzie Q" (I'd never heard "Lodi" before--listening to it now and it seems pretty bland). Still, they need to give us bands that aren't in the library.
Lately I've just been buying tracks with pro charts. But I'll go with the pack since I travel through Lodi on occasion.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but is 40pt discount normal? I thought it was 400 pts for a 3 pack?
Always been 440.

Will probably pass on the pack, as CCR is usually boring on drums.

For those that do play drums, you need to get every single one of Halcyon Way songs. They are all the bomb and only a dollar.
