I need to listen to the Sum 41 stuff. I'm a punker at heart but I don't recognize those ones by name.

I will be getting all three.

I'll get the Tears for Fears (wish there was "Mad World" and or "Shout"). Got no use for modern "punk".

Who else is going to play a 20 minute Rush song tonight?
2112 full-suite twenty minutes of devil-head drums is pretty tough! I had bust back to medium to get through it, which was disappointing. I think I'll be able to master "hard" with some practice, though.

It's an interesting mix, what with the "re-tune the guitar" break in there. Do guitarists get to play that sequence? That would actually be amusing is so. There is a long-arse break that made me pine for the shortness of the "Won't Get Fooledd Again" break from RB1. But the chart was bouncy and fun and I can't wait to work on it enough to be able to get through on hard.
I barely 5 starred 2112 on expert pro drums, but I don't know if I'll play through the whole thing again. I'd rather play a part and then play something else.
I've worked my way up to 4* Pro Guitar Medium 84%

Yeah we do get to play that part

Riding on the popularity of the early-'90s alternative movement, London rockers Bush found worldwide success with their strong 1994 debut, Sixteen Stone. The album produced five hit singles for the band, three of which - Everything Zen, Comedown, and Machinehead - will be available in the Rock Band Music Store as Bush Pack 01 on February 7th!

A Pro Guitar and Pro Bass Upgrade will be available for Machinehead, the fifth and final single from the band's multi-platinum debut.

Available on Xbox 360, Wii, and PlayStation 3 on February 7th, 2012
Bush - Everything Zen
Bush - Comedown
Bush - Machinehead O X

Tracks marked with O feature support for keyboards; tracks marked with X will offer Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions for $0.99 per song. Tracks will be available as Bush Pack 01 for $5.49, or individually for $1.99 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and $2.00 on Wii.

Looks good to me!

I'm unfamiliar with the band but I'm listening to those songs now and they're OK. I may pick one or more of them up.

EDIT: Having listened, I may buy "Comedown" and "Machinehead"--didn't care for "Everything Zen".

I love Comedown and Zen. Every time I hear Everything Zen on the radio I wish it was in Rockband.

This is what all the "alternative" kids (there was no goth yet) called "Jock Rock" because the athletic kids at school were into this band.

Whole album is pretty good. I like "Alien" a lot. Not sure about being Jock rock, but Bush was great at IU's Assembly Hall when they toured on this album back in the day.

I have always liked the erratic, semi-connected poetry-type lyrics on this album.... different.

Rock band tweeted today that next Tuesday they would release the top requested song in there 3 years of song request tracking. Anyone have an idea of what that would be?

What could it be? Does the fact that it will be Valentine's Day offer any clue to the song?

They either meant *excluding unattainable artists or we are getting a previously unattainable artist... interesting

There's a lot of speculation that we're going to get Rick-Rolled.

I think this is the most likely based on evidence.

Reading the RockBand.com forum thread on this it surprises me how many speculated songs are things that I've never heard. Someone there pointed out this list at myrockbandsongs.com, arranged in order of popularity ("Never Gonna Give You Up" is #39 on that list, but you have to go pretty far down to get to any song that's appropriate for Valentine's Day). Can't wait until the Friday morning reveal.

RockBandAide.com posted a poll of a short list of songs and their readership thinks that it will be "Knights of Cydonia" by Muse. I have to hope that they're wrong.

Is it me, or is it a bit Van Haleny in here? (Yes, I may have inside info.)

Hmmm. "Jump" doesn't seem very Valentine-y, though I suppose it is a love song of sorts (being a boy singing to a girl he's trying to pick up, it's maybe more of a "lust song" )..

Remember, I stress the may part of the inside info, and I will explain if this does or doesn't happen.

The reason I was thinking perhaps it was Van Halen was that the wonderful lady who runs the Rock Band Network made a post about Van Halentine's day and when asked if this was a hint about the DLC, she said that she can't confirm or deny anything. To be fair, she called the post "As off-topic as could be."
Finally Every Rose has it's thorn. that song should have been on RB1
post #12120 of 12395
They did not identify which of those songs was the most requested. If it actually was "Never Gonna Give You Up" I feel a bit ashamed of my association with the people who've used the song request mechanism.
