If anyone has one of these Denon receivers could you measure how much space you think you would need including cabling in the rear to fit your Denon in an enclosed cabinet?
I know how difficult it is to ascertain the actual depth of AVRs. For feasibility, ones needs the overall depth then add distance for some wires, but also the depth of just the case for some other wires and for ventilation.
I know when I read just a spec. on the depth, sometimes I later have found a different spec., other times the wrong spec. was the only one, and it turns out they had listed the case depth, instead of full depth.
Denons say 'max. dimensions', but more importantly, Denon USA (and other brands) have dimension diagrams listed for many, if not all, of their AVRs, listed in mm. Last I converted them to inches, many were indeed 16.4" AVRs.
If your AVR was 17", I don't see how a closing front (?) door affects the space needed. One can put a AVR right to the door. Now where you would need extra room is at the back of the AVR, and 19" would be about the minimum for the cabinet.
