I have a desktop connected to my receiver through SPDIF. Works great as a part-time HTPC, but I have a dedicated monitor connected to it as I use it as a workstation most of the time. My one complaint is that adjusting the volume can be bit of a hassle, as it can only be done through the receiver; although I have a remote, from where I normally sit I don't have line of sight to the receiver. My Logitech keyboard has volume controls, but unfortunately it only adjusts the master setting, which as everyone who has an HTPC setup knows has no effect. However, adjusting the WAVE volume (through the volume panel) works. I am curious if there's a way to make the Logitech keys adjust the wave volume instead of the master volume. I also have a Windows Media Remote, so if anyone knows how to control the volume with that, I'd love to know. Thanks for your time.
