Which hd-dvd player is best for my setup?

Hi,
I am thinking to get a hd-dvd player but not sure which player is better for my set up. Hd-A3 or Hd-a35? I have a Onkyo 705 receiver and a Benq w500 in my home theater.

thanks

705 will process bitstream audio from A-35. Anchor bay, Deep Color, 24p are of no impact on you (right now).

A-3 will handle PCM just fine to 705.

A35 future proof - A3 great out of the box and saves you money

Take your pick.

Do I need a HDMI cable that compatible with 1.3 between HD-A35, receiver and projector to experience the new 1.3 feature (deep color ?)

thanks

I don't believe so. All decent HDMI cables should have the bandwidth. Get the 24awg from monoprice.

You can't "experience" Deep Color. No mainstream sources display Deep Color, and not many displays take advantage of it. At this time it is vaporware, outside of a few HD cameras.

Doesn't the w500 'accept' 1080p24? would getting a player that outputs that make a difference?
