I have a nice new 1080P HDTV LCD with 3 HDMI inputs and now my 15 year old receiver just bit the dust.
While I would love to outfit my home theater with an Onkyo 605 I just can;t do it. As it stands I only have front speakers anyways.
My opton is either to get the Onkyo 505 or even step it down even further.
I feel that I would be compromising if I bought it and would eliminted the reason why I got an HDMI tv to begin with.
Since I can switch devices through my TV should I just buy the 304 and run the optical out from the TV and do it that way? I then could possible put some money into a center speaker. I feel if I do this I can wait a few years until the technology and prices settle down. By that point my financial situation should be better anyways.
