I'm not sure about the inspiration thing, I got so depressed looking at this and then walking in to work on mine I'm ready to throw in the towel now and call it quits. Just kidding, this thing is awesome. Definately waiting for a lot more pics.

more pics on the way! Sorry for the delayed response but I had drifted away from this thread (and into the theater and bar area) most of the time!

Everything is complete with the exception of touch ups and the equipment rack cabinet.

I will post some pictures tomorrow,

Rob

btw, the ceiling height is approx 9' in the rear elevation and 13' on the first row elevation.

Rob, thanks for sharing! Beautiful.

We've got nearly the same sized room. Mines 17x32. I'll be curious to see the finished product.

I'm looking at upgrading the equipment in the theater (changed my screen name) -

Just Purchased the new Sony 600 pj on the advise of the video guys on the forum- now moving towards the upgrade to the equipment closet..
That is a nice projector! What equipment are you going to replace and what do you want to replace it with?

Gorgeous house both the exterior and interior!
Thanks-

I never focused on the equipment closet area - or the equipment much either- until now-

Currently have - and plan to keep- b&w signature in walls - James loudspeakers-

Plan on upgrading crestron adagio with amps/new HT processor - and add kalaidascape to replace an aweful fusion movie server.

Candidates are the 1.2k mono blocks -mcintosh - theta ht processor-

Tell me there's a wine cellar in there... Those solid, oak doors look like a romantic entrance to a treasure of Bordeauxs.

Gorgeous build.

Thanks - you read my mind - we are adding a tasting room/cellar at a below grade level, along with a 2 channel room and underground garage.

Very nice! You can't go wrong with Mcintosh or Theta! The Kalaidascape is awesome too!

If you want to try something even sweeter, look at trinnov's MC for room correction. Far more sophisticated than DIRAC and a state of the art piece for the best possible phase correction and time alignment (not to mention the proprietary 2-D and 3-D remapping algorithyms).

My Trinnov is expected in early next year. Very, very nice piece that would pair nicely with the new Digi out card in the Theta for the front end.. It provides state of the art processing as recently reviewed in Stereophile nad used professionally around the world. I've just ordered 5 Seaton Submersives for the sub channels and will integrate them into the 16 version of the Trinnov. Trinnov will set up your room and settings over the internet. Something to consider...

* If not, consider the Datasat RS-20 as your choice for your SSP over the Theta.

Best,

X2...had my first Trinnov experience on Thursday, fantastic, simple to operate, truly seems like the future. The new Magnitude with all digital option should be ready for deposits in the next month or two....expandable to 32 channels.

The MC is Trinnov's own version employing their software and hardware.

They make the TEQ for ADA. The TEQ is an MC that will sync with the volume control of the ADA MACH IV SSP. The TEQ is only sold by ADA.

The MC has a digital input for a full digital path from a modded Oppo! No digital input on the TEQ. So, there are trade offs.
