Yea, im lookin to get my Pops in on some GH action and would rather spend less than more if im am just trying to introduce him to this. My logic is GH1 is an almost 3 yr old game so the bundle should be like 50 bucks at the most right? Well I cannot find it for less than 70 MINUS shipping. Went to the game store and it was the same price :O WTF, i can get GH2 for the same price. Whats the deal?! Does anyone have any leads or have a spare PS2 guitar and game they're willing to part with for dear old dad?

if its for your dad, why not spend the bucks?? Your not going to find a new bundle for either 1 2 or 3 really discounted anywhere. They dont have to, they sell out everywhere. Try craigslist or ebay, only place you might find it for cheaper.

Another reccomendation is check out gamefly's used game section. They usually sell the games for like half price but they guarentee them 100%.

This is not a game to skimp on. The guitars do wear out with time, so buying a used one is a gamble. Just spend the extra couple bucks to get the new bundle. You won't find GH1 any cheaper than GH2 (or even GH3) since both still sell very well.

Ha ha, im not trying to skimp but the thing is, he is really interested but he is missing his left index finger (construction accident years ago) and he is right handed. He was a novice guitar player before that and after the accident he tried lefty but gave up. Im trying to step him up to Rock Band one day since he is a real drummer like me. He loves the concept but i dont want to pay full price if he cant play it on medium atleast.

Sorry for the long winded story, figure id put it out on the table ha ha. So do you think I should just get GH2 since its easier to find? The reason I wanted GH1 was that the song selection looks a little more up his alley (lots of 70s) with less of the weird stuff thats on GH2, and I thought it was cheaper
