How long does deepdiscount.com take for delivery?

Hello All,
I ordered some HD DVDs from deepdiscount and was wondering how long shipping (free) usually takes with them? I placed one order before Thanksgiving weekend and one that Sunday and haven't received anything yet.

Thanks,
Eddie

They are VERY slow at shipping. They take a long time to get them out the door, and they use slow shipping. Two to three weeks is not uncommon. I try to warn people about that. They are not the store to buy from if you want the movies fast.

mine took over 1 week to arrive. The other part of my order was backordered, are you sure they shipped?

I think the free shipping there is 5-10 business days. I always use the free shipping(cause I'm cheap and not in a hurry). Sometimes I get them in 2-3 days. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes 15 or 16 days due to the weekends. Hope that helps.

Hi All, thanks for the info. I am not worried so much that they get here really fast just worried that they get here. Looks like it could be awhile!

anyways I will bust open Omega Man tonight to watch.

BTW the copy I got from amazon is packaged funny.

1. HDDVD isnt white (I guess this is on all of them)
2. the top part of the cover are is stuck under the HD DVD sticker that holds the case shut.

Anyways, Thanks again for the answers!

They are in illinois, I'm in the Pacific NW and I usually receive them within a week of shipment. I love Dvdplanet as well, but I think deepdiscount may be a bit quicker. Of course, amazon is the absolute fastest FOR ME. If I order an in stock item on Monday Night I am darn near guaranteed to have it by Friday afternoon with free shipping...but I am stuck with sales tax with amazon.

I ordered two HD disks and the first arrived in less than a week the other well lets just say its been three weeks.

I have noticed that Amazon has about fallen of the planet with awful ship times. Many titles ordered months before release say shipping in two to three weeks on release date. What gives with them lately? Even the ones that I paid for shipping as a test would take weeks to ship. May have to look at other places to buy from.

One of my orders took 8 weeks to be shipped to Japan. This doesn't mean that DD is bad. USPS SUX4LYF.

I received Cars and Ratatoutille BR and Transformers HD-DVD 10 days after ordering them. Ordered 11/13, received 11/23, in California.

Still waiting on 2 of my packages. I had one shipped out 3 weeks ago and nothing yet. Another one was shipped out about 1.5 weeks agai and still await it as well. They are usually slow to get to me in Ontario but i blame customs and the high Cnd dollar for higher then normal importing. So hopefully i shall be seeing something this week.

took just 5 days for 3 of my movies to come in and i am in wyoming i expected it to take the full 10 days. 1 movie has not shipped, backordered.

I recently ordered five discs from DD: Got shipping confirmation three days later and received the order three or four days after that (in California). So no complaints from me.

Dammit. I ordered Star Trek from DD. It shipped out on Nov. 23 (1.5 weeks ago), but it looks like I may have a significant wait yet. (I'm also in Ontario.)

BTW, I got something via FedEx Ground within 4 days from the US... but in pieces. I'd rather wait then get it in pieces.

Only ordered from there once, thanks to a coupon code from here 2 weeks ago, I received my order in 3 or 4 days.

I ordered a bunch of sd-dvd's from them on black friday, did the free shipping and received the first one last friday, the rest were back ordered but have since shipped.

Not only are they slow on shipping, I don't see a decent deal at all on any of their HD stuff. Heck, Amazon beats them on alot and if you can tolerate "used" from Amazon, they'll cost half as much.

Star Trek when it went on sale was much cheaper at Deep Discount than Amazon.

I just jumped into the format 3 weeks ago. Ordering 5 movies during their 20% off sale, I saved over $20 by picking DeepDiscount over Amazon. After reading the boards, I had just missed the Amazon Buy 2 get 1 Free deal. It really depends on the circumstances and promotion at the time. But regarding everyday pricing, Amazon beats them by .50 cents to $2 per title on everyday price.

But from this point on, I'll never buy an everyday price. I'll buy in bunches when a promo code is going on. I'm now at 3 players, 30+ free movies, and 10 purchased under promos.

For those of us with the extra 10% off (boy am I going to miss that), the price difference was minimal, but I got mine on release day. For me, the price difference between the two, if there is one, isn't enough to justify the horrid shipping. As a side note, BSG S1 is out for delivery as we speak.

It usually takes about 4 days for it to hit Florida once the email notification hits your email stating it has been shipped.

It was $106 at DD with free shipping in the US.

How long does it take for a return?

I ordered the BBC Planet Earth series, received the IMAX Blue Planet, I was worried I made a mistake, but they charged me $50-60 for it...

Wondering, since its a gift, if I could get it fixed for Christmas or just order it elsewhere.

My experience was that in stock items (they tell you when you place the order) ship almost immediately, and they report the date they expect out-of-stock items to come in stock.

I ordered a few disks Thanksgiving weekend and just got the first one today. The other two titles were out of stock. One of those shipped today. I can't complain since it was 20% their already decent prices with free shipping.
