Well the day has come for me to be officially excited about HA. I am no longer tied to a dealer/integrator for expansion of my addiction... I mean hobby.

Anyone interested in a C4 Media Controller, HTC and 10.5" touchscreen?

Control Points:
Elo 15" wall mounted touchscreen (recycled Dell with Cybex Longview Cat5 KVM)
Samsung Q1 Ultra UMPC
Nokia N800

Devices under control:
SONY DVP-CX777ES 400 Disc DVD (x2)
Denon 4806CI
Too many Directv Hr20's and H20's.
Clipsal CBUS Lighting control
Weather updates
Horoscopes (WAF ++++++)
Audio Authority AVATRIX

Devices not yet integrated:
Sonos (1 ZP100 and 2 ZP80's)
Elk M1 Gold
Axis Network camera (x2)
Aprilaire 8870 thermostat (x2)

I would be interested in your control4 setup. Why are you getting rid of it?

just a wild guess, but I am guessing its because he can't actually do anything with the equipment he paid for, without first getting the divine blessing of C4 HQ...
ie no end user configuration ability...

I can see how you got to that conclusion but it's not quite right. I actually have full access via Composer. It's just that I wanted "best of breed" within my budget and the lighting from C4 didn't stack up against the Clipsal Cbus offering. Also, Sonos, as an audio solution, is pretty kick butt and I wanted to be able to add more to my interfaces than C4 allowed.

I can now use nearlly any touch panel I chose to control my gear. However, C4 was "nice" as I didn't have to modify (read, couldn't) change the user interface. That drastically hid my lack of creativity. I now must rely on others work to get me by. This has been mostly a positive as the CQC community has been very generous in giving back in the way of screens and drivers!

Thanks.

Let me know what you are looking for out of your components. Also, is the flatpannel the v.2?

The panel is a V1... I have someone already interested but I will let you know if that falls through.

Thanks.

This is slightly off topic, but how user friendly is the Control4 as a controller for the Sony DVP-CX777ES megachangers? I'd be particularly interested to know how it compares with the Escient and ReQuest DVD managers.

So true, I actually believe this is a very powerful selling point of CQC. My GUI is only good (IMO) because others shared their great designs with everyone.
