Can you recommend a video card for HTPC

Thread Starter
Hi, I got an cer desktop from my brother with the following specs
2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Quad-Core Q6600 Processor
4GB RAM
250GB Hard Drive
DVD+/-RW
10/100/1000 Ethernet
Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional
and MSI RX2600XT Diamond Plus Radeon HD 2600XT 512MB 128-bit GDDR4 PCI Express x16.
This card works great (I'm a light gamer) but takes up a big space and I can't install any other PCI cards in there.
Also, when I play back some DVDs there is ghosting and shadows in dark sceens. Like the image stays there for few seconds from the prevous sceen.

I would like to replace this card with another HDCP ready card that is more syuitable for watching DVDs, editing moview, capturing DV sources, etc. Also, somehing that will not take up a lot of space.

This card can output 1080p via VGA to my LCD TV but not via HDMI. I would like to have the same with the new card as well.

Any suggestions for a new card?

Thanks

For a single slot solution that will handle video and gaming, I would recommend the 8800GT. It may be more money and more video card than you want, but I am very happy with mine. My 8800GT SSC was $310 shipped overnight.
