Will Onkyo 605 Pass Audio & Video with Receiver Off?

Hi, I'm waiting on my replacement Onkyo 605 to arrive and have a question. If I run an HDMI cable from my Cable box to the 605 then an HDMI out from the 605 to the TV do I have to turn on the receiver to get cable TV audio & video on my TV or will it pass both through when it's off? (assuming I set the audio to "out")
