Best setup for around $2500?

Hi guys, I'm a newbie when it comes to projectors, screens and even though I'm usually always going for the higher end, I have a bit less budget for the projector setup.

Here's the thing, I have a 50" Pioneer Elite 720p, HD DVD A20 player and PS3. I want to add a projector to the overall setup to watch movies exclusively on let's say 90-100" screen. My viewing distance is about 7-8 feet. I'm operating with the budget of $2500 for the screen and projector.

Can you give me some advices and choices on what to get in this price range that will give me great viewing pleasure?

Is 90-100" screen too big for 7-8 feet viewing distance? What type of screen will give me the absolute best quality. I think I read somewhere recently that screens with silver material or something similar give the most saturated colors, though I don't really know what that would mean.

Will 720p be a lot worse then 1080p from the distance I noted above?

Your advices suggestions appreciated. You don't have to quote prices for the products, just give me models that you think will be the best quality for the money.

Thanks!

92" maximum at 7-8 feet. At that distance, I'd choose a projector based on less visible pixel structure. I think a 92" screen + Panasonic AX200 would be the best choice as it would give you the flexibility to position the image over your plasma.

Thanks! Now you think that from 8 feet on 92" I won't see too much difference between 1080p and 720p? Should I maybe wait a month or two and get a 1080p projector for about $1000 more?

if u got $2.5k budget, go for 1080p pj; there're several models available for $2k-$2.6k; mitsubishi, panasonic, optoma,

if u shop carefully, u may be able to get 1 of those and screen within your budget.

A 1080p panasonic ae-2000 would be a good choice.
