Martin Logan and B&W sound quite different, which one is a matter of what sounds better to your ears. Both are solid quality products. I compared the 683s to the ML Clarity. My personal feeling was the clarity was almost too clinical and harsh, almost too revealing. The other thing is electrostatics have a very narrow vertical dispersion, when I stood up, the sound from the clarity dropped off dramatically. I don't know if this is true of the montage or not. To me the 683 is a wonderfull speaker, you get a lot of bang for your buck with the FST midrange and nautilus loaded tweeter. I prefered them to the CM7 and even 703 and ended up with a 5.1 setup of 683 HTM61 DS6 and a velodyne sub. They really do deserve a good listen if you are considering them. Ask your dealer if they can bring some in, really all dealers should have the 68X series by now. Have fun
