McLoki's Family Room, theater....

5.1 home theater set up in my family room.

Fronts - Polk LSi15's (Cherry)
Center - Polk LSiC
Rears - Polk LSi7's (Gloss Black - wood sides removed)
Subs - SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+

NAD T163 pre/pro (with output op-amps replaced)
Cinepro 3k6 amplifier

TV pictured is a Hitachi 50VG825 LCD rear Projection - it has since been replaced by a Hitachi P50x901 directors series plasma. (a nice upgrade if I do say so myself.)

Here is the front stage. (You can just see the edge of one of my SVS subs to the right of the right speaker.)

Here are my subs and equipment rack. (bottom toshiba DVD player replaced with a Toshiba HD-A2)

Here is a shot from the TV looking at the seating position.

Thanks for sharing, looks awesome! Bet it sounds great.

Just curious, why the slab of stone under one of the SVS's? Does it prevent the nearby door from rattling?

Where are the surrounds mounted?

Thanks for the compliments, it really does sound good.

The slab of granite actually tighened up the bass in the SVS over just sitting on the carpet. (not sure why, but it did) The SVS on the left is a PC+ (right is a CS+) and I just purchased it, so I have not gotten the granite for it to sit on yet.... (i.e. - just timing more than anything....)

As far as the surrounds, Here are a few more pics.......

BTW - leather couches were replaced with the microfiber ones in the first set of pictures, and the surrounds are acutally aimed about 2 feet behind and 2 feet above the main seating position...

Thanks for the update, looks like a solid mounting job there.

Stands used for the surrounds were the B-Tech BT-77's. I cannot recommend them enough - They are great speaker mounts.

Looks like your couch is blocking the front left speaker. How does that sound?
