Wikipedia does a good job of explaining it HERE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Line_level

There are little devices like this one: http://www.daleproaudio.com/p-10241-rolls-mx51-mini-mix-ii-4-channel-mixer.aspx?gclid=CJO61beR2LUCFQUGnQodgQsAog that will allow you to adjust the signal level output.

I learned this little nugget of info when I dumped my standard Buttkicker amp for a high-powered commercial unit and immediately ran into the same issue with the signal being weak.

I hope this helps.

In fact, I remember a bunch of folks saying that theirs was even labeled wrong! Ivan (at Danley) confirmed that you can't hurt anything by moving those dip switches around and trying things. I did it that way and stumbled into the right settings.

Tony piqued my curiosity, so I referred back to the Behringer EP4000 specifications found in the owner's manual HERE. For the input sensitivity - in other words the voltage the EP4000 is expecting - the specification on page 12 shows the amplifier expects a +1.23V (+4 dBu) signal. Having an input receive a 0.316V input typical of all consumer products could definitely be one culprit.

But to Tony's point, on page 6 of the same manual there is a Configuration Switch (Mode Switch) legend - the low cut filter switches should be set to "OFF". These are switches 3 (for Channel 1) and 8 (for Channel 2).

If these dip switches don't solve your problem and you have confirmed that switches 4 and 5 are engaged for stereo mode and switches 6 and 7 have bridged mode turned OFF, then the only other thing to look at is the lower input voltage provided by your receiver for which you need and in-line device to adjust the voltage to the expected input levels for the Behringer EP4000.

Still working to get the amp and Feedback Destroyer configurations worked out. I did want to capture something I posted elsewhere in my thread.

There was a question in another thread about popcorn recipes. We tried a lot of different combinations of oils, popcorn and pre-made popcorn packs before we settled on one that we really liked.

So here's our recipe for popcorn:

CJ's Favorite Popcorn

1 1/2 Tablespoons Coconut oil
1 1/4 cup popcorn
1/2 - 3/4 tablespoon Flavacol

That's all there is to it. Here are the ingredients that we find work best:

Coconut Oil

Available from Amazon for about $21 for a three pack using Subscribe and Save. Here's a link.

Popcorn

Available at WalMart for around $4.50. Available at other outlets as well.

Flavacol

Available on Amazon for about $11 for a two pack. Here's a link. We purchased a two pack 3 years ago and have 1/4 of the second package left.

Here's a photo of the Great Northern per-packaged popcorn that I purchased. We hated it. The oil tasted oily, the popcorn was small, and it didn't taste as good as the stuff we made. I've tried it a few times and we still feel the same way. YMMV.

Good luck!

I was able to replace the lamp in my projector yesterday and we watched a movie last night. Though we limped along with the sub, the picture was top-notch.

Here's a photo of the bulb that was replaced:

I ordered it from ProVantage and it showed up 2 days later (I used regular shipping). The bulb came with a replacement filter. Installation was rather straightforward, and I had it replaced within about 20 minutes or so. I took this as an opportunity to set up the projector's image again...that took quite a bit longer.

The picture is really bright again. I was really surprised by the brightness!

If you are considering inwalls ... (IMO) Triad should be on your short list.

Add me to the list. We are taking ownership of our new construction in Ashburn on march 27th. Already have been chatting with Big about my build. I have a 20'x12' dedicated space I'm going to be working with. New place is in Stonegate (new neighborhood off smith switch behind the ashbun ice house)

Cool to see other NoVA people here!
