For those of you that want a incredible demo to show off your eD sub(s)...

Try the "Rush: Snakes and Arrows" on blu-ray, track: De Slagwerker

I just got finished watching at 0db (+7 above reference for subs). It's a 5 minute or so drum solo by Neil Peart. Freaking unbelievable...

Great way to show off the tightness of your subs, but also the dynamic range of your HT. Great PQ too! That solo alone is worth the price of the blu-ray.....

It's nothing earth shattering PE...in fact, I don't think it effects us at all. I should probably let Matt or Alex answer it if they want to. I probably shouldn't have even mentioned it. I didn't think before typing.

Hanging in there, but it seems like forever. I don't call b/c I know there busy and I'm the type of person who thinks if I bug I won't get anything resolved, but I would think going on 3 weeks I would know something. I'm really wishing I shipped both subs back at the same time now. Due to sub withdrawl I find myself wondering what a A2-300 and A7s-450 box with amp, minus working sub go for nowadays :/ ....again I know there busy, but you would think a few minute test would have been conducted by now. It's holding me back from wanting to upgrade speaks and add another sub.

Can't wait to see what your refering to LF

PE I was going to ask you the status of your sub since I didn't get on for a few days, but I see from your post you should be expecting it soon.

The A2-300 I ordered at the end of Nov finally arrived this weekend. I'm still playing with the location and settings still, but it still sounds amazing. I didn't realize how big even the A2-300 is compared to a HT in a box system sub. My GF is none too happy with the size, but she does love how it sounds. Audio seems so much fuller and richer with the sub. It's surprising how much I was missing. It was totally worth the wait. Thanks ED!

eD has been excellent to me, but Im not the type of person to sit on something either. When I got my grilles in the other day, and some of the pins didnt fit right, I immediately talked to alex and matt about it. They understand that they are a company that is selling a product. If they dont take care of it, it could be a big downfall to their company. I have to admit, they seem like they take customer service very seriously. I think they know if they piss enough people off and word gets around, they will be out of business quick.

I concur and Alex has been nothing but great to deal with. Maybe it's more withdrawl then anything. I think to myself if I was calling to order more now I'd be on the top of the list, but I know i shouldn't act like that. Again Alex has been a great person to deal with and helped me out a lot. I think if there's a desease for "sub withdrawl" then I got it. I never had a real sub till I purchased ones from Alex so going backwards now and being subless makes me not even want to watch movies and/or play games.

Judd,
Seriously, don't get too excited.
I mean it's not a new sub. It's not some new hardware. I'd be willing to bet this has been done to everyone of their subs at some point.
Does anyone know the equation to calculate the max output of a given sub(s) at a certain frequency assuming anechoic measurements?

Also, what would be the max room gain in a perfectly sized room, perfectly placed for given sub(s)?

Yes, what he's talking about is a few modifications were made to the cabinet of the A7-450 (notice A7-450, NOT the A7S-450) to include additional bracing, grille tabs, and feet. The modifications were made to make assembly easier and I just added a few little "gimmies" while I was playing with the drawing. No electronics were changed and the sound is exactly the same.

I often modify the drawings of every model to make production easier, and I sometimes throw in a few improvements. Another advantage of being the manufacturer of your own products.

Quick question for Alex (or any eD guys)...

Are you guys open on Saturdays at all? If one (or a group) were to drive over on a weekend (sat/sun) would there be a way for a tour, etc?

Future planning...........

They will work with you. If you wanted to make a trip just let them know when and I'm sure one of them would be there to give you the grand tour!

Absolutely. If planned ahead, we will make sure we're available for any one to come out and visit. We'll also make sure we have any products ready to demo if you had something in mind.

All it takes is just letting us know.

It looks great P.E.
I prefer a black driver, but the silver looks pretty fine too.
There was another eD sub,an A7s-650, that was done in a gloss red finish. Both subs came out great! Congrats. I'm sure it will sound as good as it looks.
