Casters finally showed up this morning after canceling an order with the supplier that didn't want to tell us they were backordered.

I've got some pics but need to finish inventory before putting up a blog

Well I finally pulled the trigger on an A3-300 with upgraded driver and hour glass feet. Ordered online, and it didn't tell me how long it would be. I assume the 6-8 weeks. Oh well, I'm sure it will be worth it.

Me too, a week ago. Same order minus the feet(spikes for me). So now it's 5-7 weeks. Eat your heart out CdAddict. LOL. If I was waiting on a court date time would fly.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. I ordered on 12/31 and it's still showing as awaiting paint since 2/14.

I ordered my A5-350 on 12/29 and it's awaiting paint since 2/22. The way it has been going, it may take 13 or 14 weeks for delivery. I'm usually very patience but boy, it's running thin.

gc2005, I think I might have you beat, I ordered on 12/29, and have been awaiting paint only since 2/22. It has now been 10+ weeks. I was also given the 6-8 weeks. I know there was a big push right before the end of the Year because of the price jump. So 6-8 weeks might actually be possible. I don't know, but I do know waiting is very painful. There are so many movies that I want to watch with the new toy.

12 weeks. Now thats a long wait. Heck, 6-8 weeks is a pretty good spread.

6-8 Business weeks excluding weekend...

8x7 = 56 Business days
56/5 = 11.2 Business weeks...

Good luck. It's already been 8 weeks for me and they still haven't finished building the box. Who knows how long it will take. Did you ever see that movie "Money Pit" with Tom Hanks and that woman from Cheers. They were remodeling their house and every time they asked one of their contractors how long it would be they would hear "2 weeks." Of course it was never done in 2 weeks. Just about everyone on here has heard the "6 to 8 weeks" but I don't know of anyone who has had one delivered in that time. Maybe many months ago when few people were buying subs from them. Now they can't keep up with the orders. If you order from them you had better be very very patient.

I haven't seen anyone talk about this yet. Does the "awkward step forward" post on eD's website mean that they are getting out of the business of ID sales? If so, when? The "installer only" mentions had me curious, and wondering whether to consider another manufacturer. I thought I was sold on the A5-350.

For those wondering about the state of the amps - well, how about some good news? As I mentioned last week, I got a replacement LT 550 for one that was not working. This was from their newest batch, the ones they had that great video of QAing A5-350s! Anyway, I've had no problems with the amp. It's like a brand new sub to me now. In 10 days I've beaten the hell out of this thing and it wont die, so it's serving me great.

So Ben has left ED. I wonder what this means for the future of ED? I was always under the assumption that he was the owner of ED. I guess this isn't the case? What position did he hold?

ben will still be the owner of eD, he still pays the bills, writes the paychecks and will still be in development and prototyping, this will not effect anything that eD does or how eD does anything.

Yeah I've been waiting for 9 weeks as of today for my A3-300 w/upgraded driver. I've been in Box Under Construction since 2/22. I was told 6-8 weeks and was hoping that it wouldn't take longer than 10 to have it in my apartment. After this long wait I really hope it's worth it.

Hopefully, I receive my A3-300 before June. That would be three months.

had some family members over for my son's birthday party yesterday and showed them what my A7S can do and everyone was just blown away. probably sold 1 or 2 subs for eD. there should be a referral credit =)

Alright...so now I can finally go count what is out there and update everyones orders...now that I finished the blog I started at about 9:30 this morning.

Yes, they're going to ship as soon as the spikes show up. They're in boxes upside down already waiting on them.

Now I need to go count the things that need ports/amps/subs put in them.

Then the things in paint.

Then the things waiting for paint.

Then I need to take general inventory of speakers.

Well friends,

Today my A7S-450 arrived overhere in Belgium.
No shipping damage, incl grill, spikes (hourglass) switched the amp to 230Volts and all is working fine. So far so good and I am happy.
Shipping went serious fast, shipped on 5. March and delivered today on 10. March
As the day is almost over here I will post some pictures as well as other stuff on the forum probably tomorrow

So far it already sounds awesome and it is really better than a SVS PB12+2

Was it packaged enough

The shipping guys said it was like Tetris, but harder.
